Ok, I'm seeing this a month after you posted it, but how bloody funny it this! For about a week and a half now I have been think about doing coasters for a friend, but not sure what kind I wanted to do. And I've been wanting to learn to make candles, but thought it'd be too hard to do. And what there you are, with 2 of your 4 DIYs answering my questions. Thx bud!

The light splotches are often called frosting and can mean that your candle cooled down too quickly, so if you wrap them in tin foil and put them on a baking tray that should help also make sure not to whip any air in to your melted wax, add colour and fragrance when its at 65 degrees c and pour at 60 x

I've been using sea shells for soap bars, solid shampoos and ashtrays. I tried the candle but either you need multplie wicks or a very broad one or a lot of wax stays unburned.
Oh and heating anything like you did the wax is called Bain Marie!

The items he used are not so easily available atleast where I live, I would suggest to use products which are easily available everywhere right. DIY is supposed to be like that

Especially love the light up sign! Going to make one for my front porch. Love all these projects. Thanks for sharing with us. Take care.

Is anyone else confused as to how he got the wick to go through the top on the bubble candles if he placed it on a flat surface?

I love how you include your fails, it adds that human element that gives us permission to 'try' as well. Love your work
