Want the same axe I use in the video Welcome to a winter day at my cabin deep in the Swedish forest. It took a while filming this myself, as magically as I want it, so it wasn’t filmed in one day but rather depicts how one day can look like. From working outside in the cold to warming up by the fire and cooking a simple meal, this is life at the cabin during the harsh Swedish winter. In this video I’m cooking with my new favorite carbon steel pans from Kockums Jernverk. Made from high-quality 100% Swedish carbon steel, they create a naturally non-stick surface and are perfect for both indoor and outdoor cooking. Durable, beautiful, and made to last for generations. Use code GRANKVIST25 to get 25% off all products (Code available in Sweden, Norway, and Finland) My carbon steel pan: The griddle I used in the video: A massive thank you to Revolution Race for the clothes that you know I am always wearing. Get the same clothes here: ____ My own website: I hand-craft my own cutting boards in the log cabin. I can only make a few at a time, so you have to be first to buy one when a new batch is released. Every board is signed by hand with its own unique number, representing how every cutting board is unique. They are made from hard nordic oak, making them extremely durable, holding up for a lifetime of abuse. Instead of having a plastic cutting board that really should be thrown away after 2 years. I was told that my dream of selling handmade products wouldn’t work in today's world where everything is mass produced. I want to prove them wrong. My goal is to expand into other handmade products. Making a series of lifetime quality handmade goods. Breaking free from mass production, supporting our environment. So check out my website: ____ This is the gear that I use to make these videos possible: My main camera: My second camera: My lens: My drone: These amazon links are affiliate links. By using these links I earn a small fee from your purchase, it does NOT cost you anything extra. Thank you for your support and be creative with your new gear! Thank you Stevie Antoniou for editing my videos!

Erik, I absolutely love your commitment to this slower, older way of life! It’s truly nourishing for the soul to take the time to appreciate the simplicity of the daily tasks, equipment and ethics of all you do! My only wish is that occasionally we hear your amazing voice too! Much peace to you all

I have watched you for a long time. But watching your dog shiver violently in the wind and the cold makes me angry and sad. He's a short haired dog and not meant for that weather. How you care for your animals says a lot about a person's character.

Eric what you have accomplished is amazing and it’s so good watching you living you’re dream. But truth be told you are living it for a lot of people. Keep on dreaming and creating because if you build it we will watch, be safe young man

You need to build yourself a wooden hot tub outdoors. Treat yourself a little. All that ice bathing makes you stronger, sure, but soaking in hot water under the stars is just brilliant and I would fit perfectly to the cabin. What do you think

As so many others here have said, beautifully shot. There are so many days that I wish to live a life like this. I know it's difficult and a ton of hard work but it's also an escape from the modern world and a chance to reconnect with nature.

I couldn’t wait till the kids went to bed so I could curl up and watch your latest video. So peaceful and you are so talented. I can’t wait to see your finished outdoor kitchen. Just curious: do you have plans to build an outhouse or.

I wonder if the dog is not freezing on that lake. He hardly has any fur and not his coat on. But he does around the house. He's such a sweetheart though and never leaves your side. Shuch a cozy cabin! This is true survival

Hej, Hej, Erik! I really enjoy your content! It reminds me of watching D Proneckee but a younger Swedish version instead.
Here’s a small contribution of my thanks and for some wool socks lol.
Excited for more content!

C’mon man. tell us you caught more than one fishyou brought some back with you for laterI mean that is a heck of a trek just for lunchbut hey, I guess you gotta do what you gotta do when you live in country like that

What is the dog's name You don't appear to talk to him on camera or is that edited out Actually come to think of it you only talk on camera when your family is around. So I guess there is no need to talk to the dog

Sorry Erik but the sound quality was too crisp on this video, watching on the tv the detailed sounds of stuff moving around and making noise was way too high for the ears, even turning down the sound didn't help.

The beginning of the video feels like a real movie, your videos are getting better and better, we really can feel the mood (my hands were freezing during the fishing moment: ). The doggy cam was excellent

Thankyou once again, the effort you take to bring us the Swedish forests is breath taking.
I must say you need a companion other than your dog in theses shots. Swedish of course!

Dropping a single piece of firewood while picking up a pile of it both at the start and the end of the day was a lovely detail. Really tied up the story nicely. Amazing work: )

I’ve watched this super talented guy build this cabin from the beginning and every single video. The editing and the mood of the videos is absolutely incredible.

OK, nobody noticed that breakfast of 8 eggs! I felt the arteries clench in my chest just from watching. I thought for sure his puppy was going to get 2 or three.

a solar panel, charger, and battery would power a few led light bulbs. save on candles and/or kerosene for lamps.
and the solar power is delivered FREE
