Color-Mixing Simplified #01 - Acrylic & Oil Painting Lesson SchaeferArt Sandy: I'm studying how to mix color because I repair leather and imitation leather furniture and the toughest part is matching the color. Thanks, I have four years of art, two of painting, and thought I understood how to mix colors until I needed to make a cream color. I found a video that showed me that it is white, with a little yellow and brown mixed in. Your video shows me how to mix brown if I don't have a brown. Thanks for the refresher!

Im brand new to painting and I just bought a whole slew of colors. Im wondering if I should return some of them now. There is so much info. it's confusing. Someone of YT said beginners should start with a cool and warm version of the primaries so I went wild and bought like 8 tubes. Luckily they were only about 5. 50 a tube.

Thank you so much! I am a beginner in painting and I have really been struggling throughout my classes understanding how to mix color etc. I am going to start using a limited pallet. I had a question. I paint outdoors as a Plein Air painter (Painting landscapes) what colors should I use for my limited pallet?

Thank you. I-m new at this and have bought every color out there. I find it very frustrating as a new painter with all the colors. This makes so much more sense. I-ve been trying to mix all these other colors together to make colors and getting mud.

Thank you for taking the time to explain how to use the primary colors and how to mix. I-m just starting to paint and I will definitely try using only the primary colors it makes sense. Thank you!

Thank you so much! This really helped me understand a solid, simple concept. I'm just starting my painting journey and was getting overwhelmed with different palletes.

Hello! Please use, especially for begineers, the right primary colors. It is important to learn something good from the beginning. Success! Tks!

This is just like the triad of photography, different balances of exposure/ISO/F-stop create an infinite amount of possibilities.

Man, I am way late to this video, and I've just started painting. This is a great demo; clear, concise and quick. Thanks very much!
