How to Draw the Male Torso (Step by Step) - Christopher Hart mark: I started drawing again some weeks ago. I prefer to draw from references, as I cannot draw from memory and that references help me get proportions more acurate. Also, I have discovered online an action figure like manniquin made in China called Mas Factory FIGMA archtype that has realistic proportions as well as muscle tones, both men and women, as well as interchangable hands (the only problem I have with it is that the fingers and toes do not move, as I have trouble with drawing those) It is pricey, but I think it is better than the wooden manniquines.
Finally, I like to challenge myself by trying to draw different poses, and if I fail, I do the same drawing again until I get it right or near right. I also grade myself. I still have trouble with the head, and also if I have to create a character, how do I draw the same head in different angles? Thank you for your time.

My name is Mark Munroe and I am an aspiring artist and writer. I used to draw when I was a kid and a teenager, but due to unforseen circumstances, I stopped.
I took up drawing again some years ago, and while I am good at copying figures, doing it from my head is a problem. My problem tends to be body porpotions, and positions, arms, legs, hands, feet and their angles, as well as clothes and facial expressions and facial positions and how the eyes, ears, nose and mouth look at different angles. I would like to draw freehand and I truly enjoyyed this video. It was informative yet simple in tutorial. Can you help me step by step? It would be a great help. Thank you.

OMG! We used to have book fair at our school and it's been like two years since I graduated. I was looking for drawing books and I found a book 'Mastering Manga' by Christopher Hart (and yup I am in India. I never had an idea about the illustrator until now. I was just googling Mark Crilley videos about male anatomy and I randomly came up to your video and you really do awesome work! Btw I still possess that book and it's in my bucket of imp books.

I appreciate you showing the technique for drawing the torso. Before watching this video I found it quite difficult. I still need a lot more practice but thank you. Your videos are helping a lot: )
