Try this basic lesson, from my new book, Figure It Out: Faces & Expressions. The book contains many practical tips you can use in everyday drawings. It's available at major booksellers. Enjoy! drawing: Hello! I am a new amateur artist trying to learn how to draw. I bought books to draw from Jeff Mellem. I was searching and talking to many artists about their art. I want to try and create my own unique art style. I found you through searching the web for line art plus sketches. I like the way you draw your characters. I am just trying to find out how I want to draw. It is a bit hectic. I also just subbed to you, and I hope to learn some things from you.

Ive been subscribing for quite a while and your videos helped me a lot with proportions(something Ive always had trouble with) I think it would be very cool if you could do tutorials on how to draw iconic cartoon characters, like, you know, Lucky Luke, Tintin etc(and maybe some modern ones too for kids whove never read old comic books) just a suggestion

Very cool! I would love to know what pencil you're using. I am pretty sure I don't have anything that soft that isn't (super-messy) charcoal. Looking forward to adding this book to my collection. I'm still terrible, but I am knowledgeably terrible now!

My suggestion is to draw superheroes from popular shows, like Sonic The Hedgehog, and other superheroes
