The LED grow is kicking off with a simple video on the types of seeds I've started and what I want to get out of the LED experiment. Also, a little bit on the tower garden! Justin: Hi this is probably a long shot but I'd be forever grateful if you gave me some specific guidance on choosing LED lights. I am a first time grower using the kratky method in my shed (coldest it gets at night is 50 fahrenheit, I am approaching winter season in bay area california, and I'd like to simply grow the easiest plants possible (lettuce, kale, basil, any other suggestions welcome. I have a hard budget of $200 on grow lights and it would be ideal to not have it hanging from the ceiling. Also, it must be relatively transportable (Fit in a car) because I am not looking for super bulky lights. Any and all advice would be welcome. (I've seen your videos, but it's confusing which one you actually recommend)

One problem I've had with starting seeds in coir is that I can't maintain the right moisture level to get the seeds to germinate. Either it's too wet and they rot or too dry and they either don't sprout or die: ( Do you use a humidity dome? How often do you water the plugs, if at all? The coir is pretty wet when the seeds are initially planted to allow it to expand to it's full size, but then I just don't know if I should allow it to dry out a bit or not.
