I have Docs and theyre soooo comfy once you break them in The way I did it was I wore double socks, one of the socks I wear are hiking/mountain socks that were crew length and I fold them down twice to protect my ankle. That cushion will save you from the back of your ankle getting hurt. And I literally wore them everyday for a month and walked so much. Worth it though
