Cant wait to see the new rose garden come alive in spring, so many pretty bulbs and love those geraniums too! the garden at night is spectacular, so bright and highlights the trees and hydrangeas so nice. the garden is not just for sunny days, its for nights too. and what a great place you have to relax in after planting all day, esp around a fire pit. nothing better. Ive been planting lots of evergreens this fall, I need to make 1 or 2 of these trees christmas trees. just LOVE that idea, with lights and dried flowers. I live in an old house 1695 and this year I want to highlight the old stone part and entry way with lights and garlands, and thanks to you, im now working on a rose garden too, 4 new arbors and lots of boxwoods and roses LOL, your videos cost me money Hahhahahah JK LOVE them: -) Happy gardening!

Boxwoods really I had to remove nearly 30 due to Box Tree Moth damage. Seeing that you’re able to grow them gives me hope! I’m 7a just south of you and will soon be planting more Gladiator alliums to add to my existing ones. I love them! Purple Sensation bloomed first year then thats it. Big disappointment! My soil is probably too heavy. I use a bulb planting attachment on my wireless drill. It’s amazing! My favorite perennial is Rozanne geranium. I keep adding to mine and they have a really long bloom period. They’re still going strong. I love your videos Danielle, always learning something new even after gardening for over 40 yrs. Can’t leave without saying how pretty you look today!

Hi Danielle! I can’t tell you how grateful I am for your explanations about the alliums; I actually grow all 3 (Globemaster, Gladiator, Ambassador) and planted them without adding name tags, and I’m having such a hard time telling which is what. You’ve just solved that for me and you’re so right about the foliage thing: so no more Ambassador’s in the front for my next plantings! Thank you so much. And also a more general thank you for all your fantastic work, amazing garden, incredible shootings of the most delicious and creative bouquets, and your kindness that shines through your entire being. Cheers from France

Such a calming, relaxing video today. Just what I needed. I am excited to try some of the products you mentioned. I ordered a hopefully back-saving bulb planter, and am also trying out the Hoselink solar lights. Bought a 4-pack of the spotlights and am thinking about what areas in my garden I want to highlight. I always felt that landscape lighting just elevates a garden so much. I am also excited to try out some new amaryllis this year. Thanks for the reminder to put my existing ones into dormancy. Last year, several were duds and didn't bloom, but I have kept the foliage going and I am going to try again!

Good morning garden friends I just love being in your garden Danielle! I definitely need more solar lights in mine! I wish I had known about your coupon code b4 I placed my Amaryllis order, or well, I only bought two bulbs. I have a very small house, no room for more For the first time I am trying to rebloom my last year bulbs. I just put them in my garage and I guess they won’t be ready until January. I live in SoCal and my garage doesn’t always get down in the 50s but I’m hoping it will work. It’s nice to see Rocky in the garden library with you. Big Hug back to you and your garden

Hi Danielle, greetings from Massachusetts, I did take my Amaryllis inside today and they are now comfortably resting in my cool basement. I will take them out of dormancy after Christmas to hopefully flower around Valentine’s Day or later. At Christmas I have a lot going on in my small house as far as decorations go but in February when it’s cold and bleak outside my Amaryllis will shine bright on my bay windowsill and they will have my full attention and devotion. Can’t wait to see your rose garden and Rosanne Geraniums next year

Hi Danielle, I just planted Rozeanne geraniums around my pink roses too! Your garden's going to look gorgeous in the spring with the new bulbs! It looks absolutely beautiful at night too! I love all the lights! You did a great job! Thanks for all the allium information It's much appreciated. And thanks for the amaryllis info. I'm looking forward to your beautiful amaryllis display in the winter. You always pick the most beautiful varieties. This was such a an enjoyable video.

Love, love your garden Danielle! Can’t wait to see that new rose bed in bloom. 100 amaryllis! LOL! You are a girl after my own heart! I ordered quite a few amaryllis myself this year. I don’t see how people survive long winters without them. I love ALL amaryllis but Magical Touch is my current favorite. I love pink and it is a hot pink color. I think it is just beautiful. I also love amaryllis Pink Surprise It’s a beautiful shade of pink too.

This year is my first year I’m not planting bulbs. Downsizing. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when hubby found out about over 100 Amaryllis! We are funny plant women. Thanks for sharing about the solar lights, solar spotlights ( wow that pic of the hydrangea is gorgeous spotlighted by the spotlight. I would love to know more about the rechargeable sconces PLEASE in the library. Thanks for your welcoming garden.

I totally agree that flower bulbs are truly wonderful - they remain in the ground over the winter like little treasures, buried but waiting to shine and sparkle in Spring. And like you, I have now realised how buying amaryllis bulbs can be so tempting, it's hard to resist. Btw I really love Amaryllis Amsterdam - such a rich, dark red. Love your videos. I watch them again when I'm travelling to remind me of home. Jan x

I bought a Princesse Charlene rose on your recommendation [and extensive research - thank you! ] -- hope it performs here in New Mexico. I've also put my Amaryllis into dormancy with your guidance and hope they'll re-bloom sometime during the Holidays. Fun, fun, waiting to see results! I don't have a basement for storing them, just a small garage closet (already full of golf clubs, so I have to rein myself in!

Thank you Danielle, we learn so much from you. I have Roseanne geranium in my garden. Enjoyed them for 6 yrs. Shared them w a friend that I introduced to gardening this yr. I will look into the rose you are trying out. Our weather is the same in NJ. Good info on alliums. I do not remember the name but I planted blue and purple allium bulbs couple days ago. I wonder if the blue ones will truly be blue. Thanks!

Hi Danielle Gracie and Rocky! Loved this video and your garden will be outstanding this coming season. Needed those allium descriptions thank you.
Wasn’t going to do Amaryllis this season. Seeing your choices has sparked my interest!
Nighttime is magical. So serene and calming with the fountain and running water. The coupon for Longfieldgardens is so helpful. A kind gesture.

My favorite amaryllis are Alfresco, Elvas, Aphrodite & Amadeus. plus Exotic Star for some fun within my jungle of indoor houseplants. Thanks to you I have ordered my amaryllis accordingly this year to ensure Christmas blooms. Have you ever ordered from John Scheepers I have had great experience with them over many years. Your garden in the evening is just as beautiful as it is in the day.

Hi Danielle, love seeing your garden lit up. I want to switch to solar lights too. We have been using lights for 2 spruces. I love the idea of just decorating half of it into a tree shape. Genius! Thank you for the information on Amaryllis. I want to try some of these you mentioned. Your videos cheered me up while I am going through some rough patches. Thank you!

Oh amaryllis! I need advice! I have a couple large bulbs and 1 babies that I put to sleep last fall (2024) and they have not woken up yet! The bulbs are still firm and look fine. They have been inside in our sunroom all summer. I don’t want to loose the babies as they are seeds from my late grandmothers bulb. What can I do to get them going Or are they done done.

Th is for the allium details. I found them useful - I also think one must consider the leaves and what to do with them. Re amaryllis, you are truly the queen of them. Of course I don’t buy by hte hundreds, but you helped me explore them - and I had a blast with about half a dozen different varieties. Your solar lights looks great too. So enjoy the season, .

To help get your lights higher up in the tree safer try using a 10' PVC pipe with either a notch on the end or a hook. The hook is good but can be a pain trying to get the lights to come off so I open the hook to make it easier.
On a different note, I love hearing the kids playing in the background! I bet you get a bunch of trick erl treaters.

My favorite allium for foliage is Allium karataviense. It’s honestly really beautiful, especially with its blueish hue and how it holds water droplets. Good to know that Gladiator is worth it! Thanks!
Could you use perennial herbs like thyme or rosemary under the roses Or are you looking for bolder blooms
Agree on the standup planter. I have ProPlugger.

Thank you, Danielle. Your videos always make me so emotional. You pour so much love and care into all you do and share with us so graciously. I am looking forward to all your holiday decorating and, of course, your Amayrillis displays. I am off to look at the solar lights, as I have been yearning to have most of my outdoor lights on solar. Thank you.
