We went surf casting with vintage gear at Moriches inlet located on Long Island, NY during our annual trip. We caught big bluefish casting into the inlet, the fishing was on fire! DingdongLong: I had an old penn like that on a homemade pole my grandfather made, caught a 50 inch musky on it, then my buddy got drunk fell and flipped the row boat, late October and freezing cold we thankfully were rescued by a near by wedding party they were also very drunk, that pole is lying on the bottom of tichigan lake in Wisconsin since around 1998, I'll never stop missing it

Loved the video but have a few questions. Is that lure bare or did you use strips like fishing for Wahoo or Sailfish? Is there a fishing limit on Blues per day? Glad neither of you were injured climbing along those rocks. Hurts like Motherf. er when you slip. They aren't forgiving at all, certainly not like your soft sand at home. I think both of you have a good time fishing no matter where you are. What did you do with those Blues? I have had them in restaurants and loved them but never caught one. Looking forward to the next one.

Happy Sunday funday everyone! This is the first video from your NY series, hope you enjoy it. We are trying a different day to publish, Sunday, and really focused on making a better video for you all this time. Please provide us some feedback in comments on both Sunday uploading and what you liked/didn't like about the video. As stated in the description, the sick drone footage is courtesy of Brian's HS friend, Mike Busch. Thanks so much!

Those green Penn 704's are indestructible. Same parts as the newer black and gold 704z's. Still using mine after 40 years or more. Used to catch the big blues in the outer banks in the '80's, but they are hard to find now. Got one over 21 lbs. back then. Good to see bigger blues again!

This video was AWESOME! Fishing waters in my neck if the woods. Bluefish are a lot of fun to catch. Many people eat them. I don't like the taste of them myself. Too gamey. I really enjoyed the video! Something a little different. Follow your dreams!

Here in VA. We call them schools. Good eating if you cut the blood line out. You need to go when the big ones come in after the schools are gone, they get to 17lbs. Glad y'all injoyed.

The hell with the Blue fish, We want stripers, aka Striped bass, aka Rock fish. A extremely mild, flaky, white fish.
Do one up, stuffed with crab imperial for a real treat.

You've been spoiled by all the different species of fish in FL, lol. Bluefish are fun fighters for us up here in New England. Especially love fishing blitz's.
