I've been using a boohyah poppin pad crasher with great results. First day I went out and used it I caught a 5 pound hog in the early morning. By far my personal best. But over the past week since then, I've been getting big hits and blow ups but can't set a hook to save my life. I'll be fighting with a fish for at least 5-7 seconds and then the frog will just be spit out. I've probably had 20 big hits over the past couple days and only landed 2 fish. I'm using a 12 pound mono test line on a 7 foot medium spinning rod. Do you have any advice to hook up on more fish? Please let me know it's, insanely frustrating not being able to land these fish.

watched your video may/2017 (too late for your cast- a- way discount. per your rod choices. Like the pros, you use a different rod & reel for different uses; that's great if you have unlimited funds, But for a disabled vietnam veteran with very limited funds which rod & line would you recommend for all around fishing (frogs, buzz type baits, top water, worms, etc) and which speed reel? For all my life (60 plus yrs) I have used spinning reels, how do I know what type of casting reel under 100. type of braking etc. for a beginner just learning casting reels?

I own a 2 acre lake and it is overstocked with bass. Mainly 1-1. 5 lb that bite on ANYTHING. It gets annoying when you can't throw anything without it hitting the water and getting a hit in 3 seconds. I know there are 6-7 lbers in there because we've seen them. My question is this: How do I avoid the small ones and catch the big boys. Bigger lure? Color? Depth? Any advice will help Thanks

I don't fish much except in my mom's pond and have always fished ponds growing up. Usually a popper of some sort or just hook and grasshopper. That is gold during summer. If you can get one of those thumb size grasshoppers and hook him through the back no weight and let it just float or slowly sink you will get a hit every time.

You over complicate every thing it's not like we're gonna buy 8 rods and reels for each bait I know you might have a slight advantage but you really just need one rod and your fine my buddy has had the same 5. 5 rod and cheap ass reel for 8 years and he dose just as well as me you don't need 8 rods and 50 pound braid or catch fish.

You don't need all this crap nice rods certain rods for certain lures I have a spinning rod ugly stick with 12 pound test line and I got the pole for 20 bucks and it has never failed me I catch just as many fish as someone with expensive stuff

Flair. Love your vids. Going to get into smallmouth fishing. Have you made a video of top 10 baits? Or a tour of your tackle box? Going to go shopping. Need to get reading for pond and river fishing (from the banks.

Just found a nice secret pond in my city (Green Bay, WI. After watching your video. going to bring 2 rods and see what happens. Texas rig on one, and black floating frog on the other. Great video, btw.

Also, flouro sinks. So what would be the difference between diameters when all of it sinks. Considering the higher lb test that your go, logically speaking, the more prone the line is to sinking?
