Ak. and Wa. for pink, red, silver and kings.
There’s a spot in Ak. that your not allowed to fish when the salmon are spawning with a small wooden foot bridge going over a small creek that’s feeding into a large river.
It’s like a protected sanctuary for very large king salmon. Me and my Son have stood on that bridge and watched giants swim up it in 3’ of crystal clear water.
Some of them appeared to be over 100 lbs. I believe the world record was captured just down river from there that was just shy of 100 lbs.
Done a few fly in trips to remote areas up there with my son, and when I say remote the kind where a float plane drops you off for 3 days with a few tents and 16’ aluminum boats. We got chased by large browns every day, luckily our guide was packing a shotgun just to scare them away if they got to close.
We used the boats to go down river where it meets the ocean and walked in knee deep water with just our shorts on and caught our limits of silvers every day. Apologize for the rant .

I love your videos, Robert, this one in particular (there will be a caveat to that statement later. I grew up in Texas and relocated to the PNW 35 years ago. I've caught enough Chinook in that time to know I'd much rather chase Coho, because, at this stage of my life, one big Chinook can wear me out. This being said, I would love to see you catch one of those huge Patagonian King salmon. Especially, after having watched this strategically cruel teaser.

Chinook salmon introduced to Patagonia have massively damaged the pristine environment as an invasive species. I hope you address it in the video, but I'll be tuning out.

Where are the giant salmon All this was is a mediocre brown so far, I can go 2 miles and get bigger browns plus many other species. I hope you get the salmon.

LOL, you got an awesome guide. Jordan is a fish-whisperer and crazy-funny. He’ll definitely show you a good time.
Best of luck for an epic catch!
