Catfishing tip, you can buy elastic string from Amazon. Its the type of string in socks and such and you wrap it around your bait. The smell will still get through the string but the bait will stay on.

Cut the end of the catfishes tail and break it off and let it bleed out so it s white instead of red cause of the blood
