Call me weird but id wanna keep the crabs as pets lol im a huge aquarium guy and i think crabs are so cool. I dont really like the taste of crab but i love crab fishing when we vacation in virginia or other places on the ocean. I keep catfish and all kinds of wild caught fish, my uncle was a huge fisherman and he had a big tank in his kitchen with bass and crappie and bluegills, i fell in love with the idea. Now i have a 125 and a 75 dedicated to whatever i can catch. Sadly my uncle passed in 2012 but my love for keeping river and pond fish will never go away. I actually did have a crab tank at one time but they were hard to keep alive because they would eat and die during molting from being too big. Wild caught pet crabs may be the strat over store bought pet crabs lol

ty you for not saying ' i don't like that in front of your kids the parents sometimes say they don't like something in front of their kids and then the kids go oh I don't like that and never even tried it I think you should try it with your kids and then say something not before

Whole lotta work for just 3 crabs. I live I PSL and have a much better way of catching them. Use an old technique I learned as a kid growing up in Maryland. Caught 2 dozen big males in few hours yesterday. And it's time for a soft crab catch clean and cook.

I'm curious. Up here in Maryland that would be considered a pot and I could be wrong but only waterfront owners and commercial can use those. We are allowed ring traps and small box traps and of course trot line.

Chicken works best for blue crab. Let it sit in the sun for an hour or so. Tie it to the inside of the trap. Also put something shinny in the trap. I used to use old keys. Your welcome.

We use hoop nets in CA to catch spider crabs. I made an episode with my girls. This morning I put one out of us getting our first 2 catfish! AllMenDieFewEverLive
