were going to show you how to solve equations in Excel 2016. To solve a simple polynomial, we will need two cells. One to hold our variable and the other to define the equation. We will also need to enable a built-in Add-in. Right-click the ribbon and Customize the Ribbon. Click Add-ins, make sure the Manage drop-down has Excel Add-ins selected and click Go. Check the box next to Solver Add-in and click OK. Now go under the Data tab and click Solver all the way to the right. The Objective should have the cell with the equation in it. For this example, we will use Value Of and set it to 0. Finally, the Changing Variable Cell will of course be our cell that holds our variable. All parameters should be set correctly by default to solve our polynomial. Click Solve. One drawback to Excels Solver is that it will give only one root by default, just keep that in mind in case you need the other root if it is available

Poor choice of thumbnail for the video shown. was actually looking for help with a summation that includes different operations and limits. Other than that, what the video is showing was useful and efficient.

Hi. You can actually magnify the excel sheet while making the video so that it is readable mostly for smartphone users with smaller screens.
