I hope they-ll try to make Ventoy work on Macs too. Right now it just doesn-t work and they don-t seem to have it as planned feature.
Right now for Macs only something called Refind flashdrive is supposed to work, no instructions and reliability about it given though. And you have to pre-create partitions for each iso if I understood it correctly.

So, Let us say you install Ventoy on a really FAST SSD... Can you LOAD a WINDOWS VHD(X) DISK which is an actual running bootable O/S. - In other words can you run Windows from Ventoy ? Let us say your boot Hard drive fails but you have it backed up to VHD(x) file... Can you successfully boot Your failed Hard drive VHD(x) backup in Ventoy?

Does anyone know of a good free tool I can boot from Ventoy that can easily allow adding UEFI entries? I have a cranky HP and the bios doesn't have a feature to manually add entries and Windows keeps f-cking up the Linux ones. Also has Windows 21H1 changed the default partitioning scheme like to just 2 partitions?

Got onto the bandwagon while seeing you using it, you brushed it off in a side sentence XD. Since then i promoted it at my workplace and build around it our -rescue system- with VEEAM and so on. we're using it for local restoration and setups whenever our wds is not available at our customer side

Great stuff!! Used this for about a year now. Started out just like Chris with just the USB stick solution- Then after a while it became the main boot on my laptop. I have been using rescuezilla on it for gparted use and some backup.. Don't think it has a virus scan though... Gotta have that.

So hyped to have been the one like to make this video hit 1K likes !!
Also, I just recently joined the Linux world and boy is it a jungle out here! Right now I really just want to test out and try as many distros to see what works for me. I will definitely be using Ventoy from here on out.

Using Ventoy on a USB-stick I had problems with Porteus distros and BionicPup and FossaPup. Also ran into the fact that touchpad and keyboard weren't recognised. But I love this program. I could try out numerous distros. Now I run Win10, Kubuntu 20.04 and Mint 20 something Ulyssa on my HDD.

a question: the space of the partition for installing software is not enough now, and I mounted a new partition, is there any way I can use the new partition as the default installation directory while still keep thoes software installed in the older partition? i am using Ubuntu. Thank you

What an overrated crap - the majority of the time it will give you an error -Image file not supported yet-, no matter what you use, so it's totally useless. It's support is very limited and is extremely buggy. can't even customise menu labels, instead it uses the actual file names.
