How to use Voting Buttons in Microsoft Outlook - Kevin Stratvert learn how to use voting buttons in Microsoft Outlook. Voting buttons are a great way to poll people, especially large groups. A Microsoft Exchange Server account is required to send and respond to voting buttons. Kevin, for reasons I won't go into, I've tried to use voting buttons with RMS (NoForward) control, and every participant said they couldn't find the voting buttons, so they all responded in teh body of a reply letter. I sent one of them a message without any RMS controls and the voting buttons appeared just fine. Have you run across this before? Have you found a workaround?
Also, it looks as if your video is just a tiny bit out-of-date, because under Approve;Reject, Yes;No, Yes;No;Maybe, Custom...all the way down at the bottom, my Outlook has -Poll-, which allows me to create a poll question with custom answers and radio buttons or check boxes. Apparently only one question per email, though. Maybe time for an update?

This is a good video thanks. One question... I have sent an email with voting buttons. I have given my team a few days to respond. I now want to remove the ability to vote as the time is up. How can I remove the voting options for those who haven't yet replied? Thanks

Hi Kevin , is it possible to limited the amount of votes on each option?
Example. if 6 people select Cake , this option will be close, and the rest of the people will only be able to vote in Biscuits and Crisps, is this possible?

Is there a way to make the voting button more visible? If I use it in my current work place and they never used it before they can easily overlook it because they don't have the time. Oh can they also see it on their phones?
reply

I don't think this voting options allows two votes to chose. For eg: I want to send 6 options to 50 people, and want them to chose 1st preference, and second preference(means, they need to pick two votes).

All too often I use this, and people -miss- the vote portion. I have to detail in the message that it is a vote option.
Also, I need to verify if on a mobile device do they see the voting options...

Thanks for the video. I do no see the -tracking- button, also, when i click on the -view voting responses- i do not see the consolidated view. Does anyone know what is wrong with my outlook? -

What do you do when some recipients respond and the email originator received the response back as an attachment and the voting tally is not updated? These are all internal users.

Kevin, I have MS Teams at three different community colleges. Is there a way I can connect all three on MS Teams / Outlook so I can see what is going on with all three?

Great content. Could you please also share how to insert a picture in the main body of the email in the new Outlook that doesn't seem to have -Insert- function anymore?
