Hi Kevin, it's great that the comments on the Leaving MS vid encouraged you. But the other side of the story is how you have encouraged other People with that video.
By the time you uploaded that video I was going thru a similar decision, questioning if leaving my secure full time job to persue going with my own business, I rewatched your vid so many times and it just made felt I was going in the right direction. I even remember saying my mom -If he leaves Microsoft, I can also give my project a try!-.
Not sure why I hadnt seen this vid of yours before until today! But I am happy to hear you are doing great. You have impacted a lot of People with your vids in Tech and also with great life examples and advice. Thanks so so much!

Hi Kevin. Another great video. I was one of those that was a little taken aback when you said you were earning more off YouTube, especially now after seeing your other video where you stated how much you earned there.
I love your honest approach to your feedback and I did wonder if you missed the human interaction. Since March I work from home full time due to COVID so while I still email and talk to colleagues on the phone, I really miss the human interaction so much. Sitting at home within the same 4 walls every day gets a little lonely every now and again.
Keep up the good work and once again greetings from Ireland. :)

Kevin, Best of luck in your new endeavor, I found you recently while transitioning a construction company to MS Teams and revamping their systems. A thought for new content would be to develop case study videos for specific industries. For example, a best practice tutorial for using MS Teams to manage construction projects. I have searched and nobody is really doing industry-specific videos, at least for the construction industry. If you ever decide to look further into this I would be interested in collaborating on it.

Hey Kevin! loving your content. One word of advice. -Don-t build your business on borrowed land.- Your biggest asset will always be your email list. We are your people and will support you off-platform. I dare you to trust it. You have so much opportunity to build a course, a how-to guide, etc. You have so much cred with your background with MSFT. Best of luck and looking forward to watching you grow! You deserve it!

HEY MAN, since you listen to comments: I would recommend finding a way to get some light background music for the videos. I think it would add a little flavor to the videoes
also, just make sure to research beats / music that you can use in more than one video. I bought some beats but read the legal terms and they were sadly one time usage

I had 2 queries based upon your video.
1) Is the estimated CPM you state pre Google cut? i.e. you earn say $7 per 1k views, you then get 55% of that?
2) Is earning based heavily upon add within the video? I love how your videos tend to be uninterrupted but other YouTubers load their videos with interrupted adds.

You are the best Kevin - That was a very good decision because you are so good in what you are doing! I so love watching your videos and listening to your amazing voice. I still have a lot to learn about Microsoft products and I guess I have to binge watch your videos --

Hi Kevin, thanks for sharing your journey! One suggestion, if you want to have time to produce more content and also have some of the comraderie that you had at Microsoft, consider hiring someone to help you research and/or edit your videos. Just a thought :-)
