-DistroTube I have been trying to find a distro i am comfortable enough to move to from windows/macOS until i found this one through you. I loved it, and since then moved my laptop exclusively to Linux desktop and in the process have learnt a lot about Linux, i am still new but the appetite to learn is huge, i have some good technical background in IT which has helped, including having tried some distros previously
This has been working perfect for me

Finally had the chance to try Deepin. Overall the UI looks very -Chinese-, similar vibe to HarmonyOS or MIUI. I can say China has its own strong characteristics of UI development. Not a problem, its good though. However some UI is still inconsistent at some places.
I love that Hibernate is offered by default. As my laptop has s2idle problem, Hibernate is a great choice.

Some additional points:
- Deepin ask for 20G of disk space first and then for 60. Tried on Virtualbox
- CTRL+ALT+T is standard but on kde, pop and cinnamon doesn't work so much...
- Preinstalled Libreoffice theme is horrible
- I don't understand directory structure for home(on top bar of file explorer is see home Home MyUser)

I have always sort of loved graphically what deepin does with their distro. I just wish the install image gave you the ability to run it off the disk and play with it a bit and get to know it first prior to installing. Haven't touched it in a long time, so it's probably time to give it another go one of these days.

Deepin is a Chinese distro, and it communicates with the servers of a Chinese data analytics company. Not trusting any software from China has nothing to do with being anti-Chinese, it is based on fact, China does not have a great past when it comes to stealing information from uses... Huawei for example.

This guy either has not seen Windows11 or especially OSX or he has a short memory or he got paid to make some noise for deepin. This is just another nix distro, i would say kde brings similar desktop -beauty-, nothing spectacular.

Deepin is free and open source software. I'm only pointing this out because there will be a bunch of crazy anti-Chinese comments. These are just people spouting nonsense based on prejudice. Deepin is free and open source software.

Obviously not how can this even come close to Windows. By the way please learn how to pronounce Debian, its Debian not Deebiyen. Deb is short for Debora and Ian is just Ian they are christian names of the original developers.
