I use Firefox exclusively on my windows and linux OSs because it's open source and has such great security extensions. I tried using it on my MacBook Pro, but had to go back to Safari because I primarily use Youtube, and watching Youtube videos on OSX Firefox causes my MacBook to get really hot and the fans kick in in high. Watching full HD videos on Safari barely make my MacBook warm, and the fans remain silent.
This really sucks because I don't trust proprietary software. I'd never entertain the idea of using chrome, are there any other good open source browsers you would recommend, or a fix for Firefox getting so hot when watching videos?
Also, I watched your video about uBlock Origin, which has a Safari version, is it worth installing both uMarix AND uBlock Origin, or is using just one or the other better?

I use this addon. I have found a problem with it that I don't like but have found no information about online. Once I enable any feature that clears cache contents it keeps the cache usage very low until I restart the browser with the plugin disabled. I'd like to be able to keep cache contents that aren't blocked. Are you aware of any of this and how to fix it?

Is there any guide on how to properly set up and use uMatrix along with uBlock? I'm already using uBlock in medium mode, but if I decide to use uMatrix, do I just revert uBlock to default mode and use uMatrix according to this guide?

because of the firefox version i'm stuck with the only umatrix compatible with my firefox is the older Version 0. 9. 3. 3, is there any value in using that old of a version on my computer/

I installed uMatrix and I couldn-t view any of your videos, but I could watch other videos. I unistalled uMatrix and I could view your videos again. Installed it again and had the same problem.

I never heard of that plugin. Looks like I need a 15th one lol. I just find it sad blocking the user agent because some legitimate website may want to know which browser you are using: (

Hey do you still recommend uMatrix since it-s no longer being maintained? I was a big fan but went back to using uBlock (+ other extensions) because it is no longer being maintained.

LMAO looked for this video because I just installed the add-on and wanted to learn how to use it, but it turns out that with the defualt settings I can't play youtube videos.

cool plugin was happy with scriptblock but this look better. is there a version for android and a way to use textmeup with out a VPN and all those ads?
