This is getting ridiculous - What does AI bring to the table, when's the bubble going to burst The fact these big companies have ZERO care about the actual customer is one thing but currently its almost impossible to build a gaming PC - There are so many companies (good or bad) that are invested in the PC industry, its just crazy to me that this race for AI has just blown up - videos, images, text.
What are we going to do to combat it It's going to get worse, its incentivised too much for easy profit, faceless accounts etc, something needs to be done globally or your not going to be able to tell the difference soon, takes all the joy and excitement out of life.
Don't get me wrong it has it's uses, medically, educationally, financially etc.. but access to all with no rules just doesn't work, all this AI chat and phone calls don't work... you spend more time going in circles, not to mention the job losses, its not for anyone else's benefit than their own too many people make money out of all of this stuff for it to radically change, there's investors wanting to get rich and there's too many dark and secret ways to funnel money so ultimately the working individual that lives a normal existence pays the biggest price, if its not fee after fee its monthly subscriptions.... but nothing I can do, one voice is insignificant to say the least.

If consumer's personal access to technology diminishes, would that not limit the potential scope of services provided by AI Even if the country would go back in time to Internet cafes, that still means the market would be quite smaller than it is now. Even if we were to take into account enterprise AI use, its obvious the unlimited riches promised by AI CEOs are all hype, smoke and mirrors.
That goes double for companies wanting to replace people en masse. Were it to truly happens at the levels promised, the economy would shrink as less and less people could afford anything but the essentials.
Thankfully, AI is not quite there yet, which is why the CEOs are selling it as hard as they are.
But idiots will be idiots, we are in for a lot more pain until people wake up to the scam.

I have a corsair mouse that I got for like 20 bucks due to the item being returned so damn much , and I see why , without it being plugged in it has insane latency issues also since my allergies are sensitive im wiping the dust off my setup etc, but for whatever reason the mouse itself needs to be cleaned with a q tip and alcohol swab to get the damn laser or whatever to reflect properly on its glass , I finally took it apart and who ever didnt do quality check , left the plastic anti scratch film on the inside of the glass. The equivelant to MSI laptops having thermal pads on the vrms and dont even check that they press full against the heatsink , premium costs for e waste value you cannot make this shit up , this is all from just the ceos being either so old and out of touch. Or so young and arrogant thay they are again so out of touch

You know damn well that Corsair will cram any AI right into their over bloated software that is pretty much needed for all their products. Hilarious thing is that any new upstart can make good products and if they wanted to get ahead of all the big companies, put out striped down and functional apps like a slimline lighting control software that is just for the product and you add to it with anything else you got for it. Razer has always had buggy software but atleast tries new things which does get some nice stuff. Corsair, Asus and Razer (and a few others) over bloat into one software package with stuff not needed. Like I know they want to push their products but trying to push through their software to justify the bloat with more hardware that can utilize that software is pretty damn crummy.

Note that Corsair is not a DRAM manufacture the just put their branding on the Dram. And to be fair to Corsair. Memory manufacturers SK Hynik, Samsung and Micron are only prioritising memory for big vendors like Nvidia, OpenAi, Apple, Lenovo and Dell etc. Corsair is small fry compared to them. So they are having to fight it out with other system integrators for small pickings of DRAM. And due to the constant fluctuation in DRAM price they do not have any control over DRAM prices. So for now everyone who needs memory is either buy now. Wait or buy on the second hand market. Or if do not have a PC. You could opt for a older PC that supports DDR4/DDR3 Memory

I bought a 5090 from ProVantage November 14th and I still havent received it. I dont think they are scamming me but I think there is a possibility Zotac will not send them any units and my order will sit unfulfilled until the 6090 comes out...I saw prices going up and it was the first time I saw a legitimate company/website that wasnt selling them for way over retail, so I jumped on it. I do content creation/Music production, VR gaming and Simracing so while I could (and have been) get away with less, I would really like the bump in performance...

Edit: a group of us gamers that might have a handful of other skills and maybe some money lol should start our own gamer ram brand i was already subbed but if not i would be now I love these type videos gamers should be able to have a voice we are throwing billions of dollars each year ( as a whole that is ) with them and they just push us to the back for a bubble that might or might not pop

I'm still gaming on an old ass gtx 1060 6GB and can play 99 percent of the games I care about (older games and less intense newer games, you know actual good games so much is crap now) so I chuckle at all these people who are whining and crying that they cant blow all their money at the latest and greatest so they can play games at a few more fps or slightly higher res lol. Just hunker down and enjoy what you have now and this crap will blow over. But I guess some people are too addicted lol

EVERY REVIEWER is the same. EVERY GPU is trash, EVERY RAM card sucks. They don't like anything. NOTHING...EVER! And the only time they EVER actually like a GPU, is if it has the power to break open a wormhole in space. Because these idiots think you need the power of God just to play games. Funny, how I manage to play literally any game that comes out, on a 4070 laptop. Yet they act like you need a 300 bit bus, 32GB VRAM, 20K CUDA CORES just to play video games. TRIPLE FACEPALM!!!

I stopped getting Corsair products a few years ago with my new build. Just generally had pretty crap quality. iCue has always felt like garbage, I had an AIO where the white LEDs now look yellow (happened after a year). Their mice didn't seem to have much longevity (some scroll wheel ghosting). Their fans still seemed solid, but Li-an Li was coming out with some stellar new fan products that made cable management a breeze. -- Bummer, they used to be one of my favorites.

I really dont know what to do now.
I bought 2x32GB DDR5 RAM from Corsair in October for 250 and a few days ago one of them just stopped working.
In order to get a warranty replacement, they told me to send in the whole kit. So I cant keep the 32GBs that is still working if I want a replacement and I am really in doubt I would get anything back now if I send them in

With the level of automation going on with llm, llm are so bad with remembering the context . The situation is going to get worse, enterprises have a large requirement for infrastructure.
I believe the consumer market will contract more. Corsair has done nothing wrong pivoting to AI.
I built my pc in October 2025 , I am scared how I would maintain it.

This is literally the perfect time for a company to come in and take over the consumer market for ram and nvme. I know it's easier said than done but if a company can pull it off, when the AI bubble pops these big companies will be left scrambling looking for customers and no one to sell to. they deserve it for how they have treated consumers this past year.

I've been a loyal Corsair customer for over a decade, but their quality has dropped off so badly since the iCue era that I can no longer recommend them as a company. Their best products are outclassed by their competition at lower price points, and their software is buggy and unintuitive and their failure rates are too high for a premium product.

Corsair can ESAD. I bought a flash drive which came with a lifetime warranty. When it stopped working I sent support a ticket and included my receipt assuming they would need it. They said thanks and told me to also include a picture of the packaging. Without proof of packaging they would not uphold the warranty claim.

I'm dealing with an RMA issue on 128 gigs of ram as we speak and they can't even seem to ship it to the right address. I'm assuming the new RAM also won't work even though its listed on the MB's approved list. Corsair has been slipping for a while now after this I'll likely avoid their products going forward.
