Bring Back the Windows 7 Style Start Menu to Windows 11 with Open Shell - OnlineComputerTips When Windows 8 came out, Microsoft decided they wanted to change the way the start menu looked and worked. And most people decided they didnt like it at all. Then they improved it a bit with Windows 10 but there were still many that preferred the good old Windows 7 style start menu. Before we used to use a program called Classic Shell to change the start menu back to the Windows 7 style but that has now been replaced with Open Shell. You can use Open Shell with Windows 11 but you just need to change a couple of settings to make it work properly. Or you can have the Windows 7 and Windows 11 start menu at the same time! I tried many times before finding your video to get open shell to work. I guess changing the start button was the one part missing, and no other source identified that. Thank you for taking the time to give such explicit instructions!

Excellent++ Only yesterday was offered Win11 update and realized I needed a bit of help with the Classic Shell, the old one was easy. Probably this video will be getting lots of views real fast. ;-)
