Why privacy matters and Elon Musk is wrong - The Hated One In the latest interview on Joe Rogan Experience, Elon Musk expressed his lack of concern for privacy. Musk even suggested that most average people don't need care about their privacy and that national security agencies don't care about what is going on in the lives of average people. I dispute these claims with a history of abuse of mass surveillance power by the National Security Agency. Joe Rogan Experience is a YouTube podcast show hosted by comedian Joe Rogan. His recent guest, Elon Musk, entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, was invited for an almost three-hour-long interview. They debate issues like life being a simulation, dangers of artificial intelligence, and of course, privacy. It's quite remarkable that Elon Musk so openly shares his fears of artificial intelligence yet he doesn-t seem to be concerned about what information this dangerous AI knows about him. It-s pretty clear that the more it knows the more powerful advantage over humans it gets. Which logically explains why Musk also fears Google. Entrepreneurs like Elon himself might have never become successful without their private realms where they could develop without the fear of prying eyes. There are places in the world where people are persecuted for things that should never be considered a crime in the first place. And privacy is the only thing these people have to protect their own lives. The argument isn-t -you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear-, but rather - -you have nothing to hide, therefore they have no reason to look-. Whatever happens with your privacy should be based on your clear consent, which corporations and governments today don-t bother to ask for when they follow your every step you make in digital and physical world. And that-s why you should care about your privacy. I make these videos because I believe standing up against power and illegitimate authority is a moral duty. I believe all humans are fundamentally free. But this freedom won't take care of itself. Privacy matters if you have something to hide. The problem with being so exposed though is that if the majority of people are this way while a few are insulated from it that's slippery slope to be on. and in truth theres probably more people comfortable with that then 100% of the population being under a microscope. A world of absolute transparency is a doomsday scenario for psychopaths because the day that happens is the day they are naked and powerless. Some people genuinly cannot survive or at least thrive in broad daylight and it scares the living crap out of them. The illusion of transprency is not only preferential but also useful - it just depends on who is weilding that power and who is subject to it.

This my sound a bit too obvious but i think if don-t want these companies to have your information you just shouldn-t use them. I mean to be honest i think it there right to do whatever they want with the platforms they have built and use it how ever they want also most of them ask you if they can collect your information so i don-t think that it should be something that they-re seen evil for doing. But that just my opinion.

You should also care about privacy for competitive reasons. Since we live in a competitive world, the edge that gives certain companies or individuals, may get compromised. If one is a law abiding citizen and has nothing to hide, should one be to able watch those who watch one-s self? Can those who are public walk into public facilities, such as schools and hospitals and request all records of facilitation to public consumers?

The unfolding technocracy is nothing more than Gog in Scripture (see Ezekiel 38/39. They will, unfortunately, bring ruin for the rest of us. Attempting to override our minds via AI is a disaster waiting to happen for the God of Israel is a jealous God. Meaning again, don't attempt to blend the spiritual conscience with machines. you will run into HUGE problems with the Creator of all things.

Ok, this video is a bit to emotionalised, mostly due to very tense music in the background. Could you please, next time, make sure that you do not manipulate(accidentally or not) other people emotions, through background music? It's a great video, but I must pause it every now and then to properly analyse what it offers, due to emotional pressure being put up on me.

This video was claimed by the Guardian for showing a clip from the interview with Edward Snowden: 2: 10 - 3: 18. I suggest you watch this video with uBlock Origin turned on because all the revenue goes to them.
It's news coverage, it has my commentary, I am adding value. But I guess I don't have the right to compete with their monopoly on news.

in that clip wasn-t he just talking about the chinese government spying? he-s not saying the us government should be able to see your stuff, he-s saying if the chinese government gets ahold of our information, they-re probably not looking at the average citizens- browser history unless they have something that the chinese want

It's called, project A- L- O- N- M U- S -K and thus he is making ppls less sensitive towards govt survalence!
Then to let them obey govt more and that means another project to keep the decades old financial system which dictates political system and control our lives!

Imagine your information about your Mental health like your thoughts, your belief, your ideas and your vulnerabilities are surfaced online.
Then you can be potentially exploited, manipulated and you can be hacked.
