Google Is Killing Cookies (With a Major Catch) - Surveillance Report 32 - Techlore Google Is Killing Cookies (With a Major Catch) - Surveillance Report 32 - Techlore 3three3: I don't use Gab and don't really care about the guy who runs it or what he had to say, but the fact that they disable tweets on their own posts on Twitter is in no way contradictory to running a separate site that has the goal of allowing users to have free speech. That is not a philosophical conflict. Having control over the comments within the confines of your own account is a personal decision and robs no one else of free speech. it just means you don't want to let them on your 'lawn' to express themselves. But they can go stand on their lawn across the street and do whatever. If they were trying to shut down ALL conversation about the issue on Twitter and colluding with Twitter to shut it down, that would be a different story. And that is what Big Tech is constantly guilty of: cartel-style, widespread information and expression control with the goal of using their extreme power to eliminate whatever they don't like from as many people's screens as possible. Kneecapping Parler off the internet was a good example. 'Go start your own platform if you want to disagree with us! ' they said. Then someone did, it succeeded, and they got their pals at Amazon to deplatform it. They showed their true colors: the Big Tech oligarchy mafia doesn't like speech they can't entirely control.

3: 57 Gab lurker here. It was an interesting and fun learning experience witnessing this breach and all what it followed. The CEO is like a caricature of republicans / conservatives / whatever you call them, memeing hard on Gab's twitter account, and sometimes, on his own Gab account. That password is because they realized there were hackers watching the code as they were trying to fix it, and making fun of them. So that password was basically a 'take that' to this people. They always do this kind of stuff, it's unreal.
By the way, yesterday Gab got hacked AGAIN, with the hacker posting a message addressed to the CEO, using many verified and popular Gab accounts, including official help support and the CEO's account itself. There is more to it and it's absolutely hilarious.

18: 00 or thereabouts, Why is a person's DNA so important? Because you can use his DNA to link him to any 'crime' you want to, from when they started DNA sampling to now, just by claiming you found his DNA there. You can link from his sample to anyone else you want to, given the desire to create a 'crime' or any politically expedient situation, past or future. And if you wanted to say, 'get rid of' a person, his DNA gives you all the info you need to concetrate on a genetic weakness they might have, or a relative has. Your DNA in the hands of a government is your death waiting for their desire to do something. Look it up.

Hard disagree on your opinion on the Linux Mint thing.
Yes, security is important. Security is actually the first thing I consider when making any system changes. The only reason it's the most important, though, is because it _can_ be. Control is always going to be the most important. Without control, it's not my hardware. It turns into a mac. I could be perfectly secure locked in a lead safe with no connection to the outside world, too.

I understand why developers would want to push security updates, since people tend to ignore them, but I'd figure anyone using Mint would have the wherewithal to not do that. Any time I open up Mint I immediately check for updates.

Torba is a great guy and has done a great job at setting up an actual free speech platform in GAB.
Sure, Dissenter needs security improvements, but its a GREAT idea, and I hope it goes further with a better broswer.

Brave whose product was forked and was not happy about it sh-t talks about the product created from their product (Dissenter? I-d say there is partiality there so I can-t really trust them completely either.

Just don't say non tech savvy people to use open source programs let them blindly trust third party as that is more safe compared to the open world web.
