7 BIG Lessons from my first year of GPU Mining Crypto - Sebs FinTech I tell you my 7 biggest lessons I have learned during my first year of GPU mining. The first one is that cleaning your mining GPUs often means you won't have to do really deep cleans as often. The second lesson is to think early about how you are going to manage all the heat coming from your GPU mining rigs. The third lesson is that mining efficiency really matters a lot for GPUs, and can mean you will be really profitable during times when other people have to turn their mining rigs off due to poor profitability. The fourth lesson adds to this with that high hashrate GPUs are per default more efficient since you can pack more hashrate into a smaller amount of mining rigs. The fifth lesson is to really get a good understanding of the electrical system in your mining location so you know how much power you can pull from each outlet safely. The sixth lesson is to realise that the most profitable strategy in mining is to view it as a way to make lots of money long term, and not a way to get some passive income here and now. And the final lesson is that you can be a lot more successful with GPU mining if you go into it with a plan. Congratulations on your anniversary man!
I also started on the same journey around 1 year and 2 months ago and trying to expand as well, but I have been getting ready for the summer i have 2 Infinity CLOUDLINE T8, Quiet 8 Inline Duct Fan already installed and on stand by and my hashrate is about 1.1GB at the moment and just ordered an 8 GPUs octominer today :) and can wait for it to arrived!
I am also looking into solar panels because my electricity just went up too much like 50% :( but i guess at the end i will win because that's what is making me look into solar panels. keep up the good work with the videos mate!

Literally everyone has stated that the octominer cases consume more power than an open air rig because of the high speed server fans... There is no way that it couldn't use more power. I will agree that an octominer, stackable gpu rig is just plain better than an open air rig, but it is waaaayyyyy more expensive with the 12 slot case costing over $1500. Risers aren't that expensive.

Hi!
I have one rig with 7 cards (2060 12G Zotac) and use Trex miner ethermine on Hiveos . I tested , Lolminer, Gminer and Trex starts from the beginning and reboot. Please can anyone help about this error. Thanks you.

But Seb, octominers aint cheaper than building the frame rig ourselfs or even buying the ones premade... those octo are quite expensive..... also seb can you really do an spreadsheet for ethereum classic like the one you did for ergo about the gpus hashs, watts, prices, and how many to get 1ghs, etc please?

When you were discussing a second rig to get to the same hashrate. I thought you were going to discuss the cost to build that second rig. That is a lot of a density issue that I am looking at and how to manage the infrastructure cost

Bro, ive been having issues with the latest trex miner 25.9 after extracting all files, the ETH ethermine file isn't available. It only gives me ETH nanopool? Just wondering if this is something you've experienced too

I took your advice and ordered an Octominer x12 when they allowed the purchase of one ! I have ALS and do everything with my eyes So I am wondering what GPU would you put into the Octominer?.

My rigs are on a cleaning schedule once per month. Scheduled down time leads to less unexpected issues, as a cleaning is also time for a visual inspection of all connections etc.

Install a bonaire durango evaporative cooler on one side of your house or basement for the summer time cooling and exhaust the hot air out the basement windows.
