League Of Legends: Dramatically increase FPS / Performance with any setup! in LOL 2020 - Panjno
video description
5:30 Changing the compatibility options has never made any difference on any game for me, with the exception of older games, like 2 decade old games, which would be purpose of the compatibility tab after all.
6:27 The config file has some additional settings that should improve FPS slightly over just changing the settings in-game, assuming Riot hasn't removed the functionality of those additional arguments through updates, so feel free to try using that.
7:07 This should be on, I've always had it on so I don't know how much of a difference in FPS it would make, but it basically tells windows to prioritize system resources for video games, when they're running. No reason to have it off, turn it on.
7:14 I've heard the Xbox Game Bar can cause a few ms of latency or delay (don't remember which), and a few less frames, similar to the NVIDIA In-Game Overlay. I've always had it off. If you don't use it then turn it off, no reason to keep it on.
7:32 The registry changes are Xbox Game Bar-Dragon VR related, except for the Low-Med Optimization and Med-High Optimization, those two affect CPU priorities and can cause stuttering in low-priority tasks. The Default Reg files will not revert your registry changes back to what they were, they change the related registry values to what the author believes to be default. In my case, my registry values prior to changing them were not the same as what they would have been reverted to. The LoL Process Priority changes is the same as changing Leagues process priority in the task manager, except you don't have to do it every time you launch the game. The registry changes besides the first two that I mentioned shouldn't cause any issues, but they also didn't make any difference to my FPS either. Just disable the Xbox Game Bar and call it a day if you're in over your head.
10:02 I don't have this setting, but I'd recommend giving it a try. From a brief google search, this will only improve performance in games that support it, and can REDUCE performance in older games that do NOT support it.
10:18 I'm not exactly sure what this does, but I'd guess it changes your power-saving options automatically when League is running, useful for laptops unless you've already disabled all other power-saving options, or if your laptop is plugged in, fully charged, and automatically disables power-saving options.
11:20 YES, if you are using an external monitor on a laptop, or multiple monitors on a PC, unplugging or disabling the un-used monitors may boost performance mainly if you're game is GPU bound. There's no way in hell I'd disable my second monitor though, I can't live without multi-tasking. You can also lower the resolution of the game if it's still GPU bound, but it'll be pretty ugly, and sometimes buggy. I used play to League with a lower resolution in windowed mode on an old laptop, it's not as bad when in windowed mode after you get used to it. (League is usually CPU bound) Edit: Elden Ring would sometimes reach 100% GPU load when looking in a certain direction near The Tree Sentinel, disabling my second monitor had no noticeable change in GPU load.
12:00 Changing the games settings will have the largest impact on performance, if you haven't done that already, you should.
15:00 This can have a minor boost to performance, I used to keep most of these settings off on my old laptop. I recommend keeping Smooth edges of screen fonts and Show window contents while dragging on, because windows is too ugly without them.
15:33 I don't know much about this, but I believe it is both hardware and game dependent. Disabling it can give a bit more FPS in some games and slightly reduced delay/latency and shouldn't cause any issues. Try disabling it and see if it helps.
18:23 Just use High Performance, you likely won't see any difference between High Performance and Ultimate Performance. I believe the differences are just to ensure the maximum amount of power is always used, like changing NVIDIA Power management mode from Optimal power to Prefer maximum performance. It's not really necessary as there likely won't be any difference in performance. Let your hardware cool down when you're not gaming.
20:30 Feel free to change these settings, most of the settings people say to change don't make much of a difference, there are a few that can help a ton though. If you have a laptop or an on-board GPU, make sure your main GPU is the one being used for games. Setting the Max Frame Rate in NVIDIA control panel results in more stable FPS than setting an FPS cap in the games settings. Setting Low Latency Mode can reduce latency at the cost of performance, I've never noticed a difference but I've also never tested for it. The rest of the settings usually don't need to be changed from default.
Well, that was more writing then I intended. Anyway, think of this video as more of a shotgun approach, basically try changing a whole bunch of things hoping one or more improve your performance. They're worth a try if you've got no other options, but upgrading your computer hardware will likely be the end-all fix to your performance issues.
TLDR:
Lower your in-game settings.
Set your power plan to High Performance.
Turn on Game Mode.
Turn off Xbox Game Bar.
Adjust windows for best performance in Performance Options. (Leave Smooth-edges of screen fonts and Show window contents while dragging on if it's too ugly)
Check your settings in NVIDIA Control Panel or an equivalent GPU Control Panel.
If you still have performance issues, you can try the other things in the video.
If you STILL have performance issues, factory reset your computer, buy a new computer. I wouldn't do these just to play League of Legends though, lol.

After following all instructions my font has changed on all applications to a bit jagged and unsharpened. I tried the recovery and reg edit save but they both failed to revert my font for every application back to the default windows font. I have done a lot of google searches and found the restore defaults in font settings which I have also had no luck with. Anyone else experience this problem or know how to fix it?

I never comment on anything, BUT, saved the video and liked it, from 80100 lagging fps that went to 6070 sometimes TO: 200 fps going down to 140 with stuff happening.
I put the game on fixed 80 fps since my monitor is 60hz, and it didnt went down from it at any point, THANK YOU SO MUCH

I have a good PC. Can play high-end games on decent fps. I have tried EVERYTHING in this video. My league won't stop stuttering. Such bad game... Horribly optimized, horrible community, maybe it was a blessing for me not having this game work properly on my gig.

usually I have around stable 40-50 fps but once I played on my cousin computer (which had 120 fps with no lag drop at medium graphic settings) I absolutely fell in love in league again and saw how much better and smoother I can play with just better performance.

Hey, does it make sense to use the 'ISLC Program' on an older computer with a hard drive (not ssd) and 4 GB RAM? If so, what parameters should I set?
EDIT: It is a pity that there are no people in the world with this knowledge :(
