This might be the first video where I disagree with Rob. I think a better strategy is unique passwords for each site randomly generated and stored in a password manager. In Rob's scenario if a site you use gets hacked he says to change the password, but if you have used the same password on multiple sites you would then need to change them all. Each account is a data point and of these can be linked you are in trouble. Plus, what if the company does not admit they have been hacked? For accounts which have no personal link back to you, sure use a basic password and reuse it - doesn't matter if t gets hacked. For passwords offline or when you do not have access to a password manager you can use a password card

I have to write my passwords down. When I create them, I look around the room and see random things, or open books to random pages, to use as the baseline for my passwords. If I don't keep a written record, even I won't remember them, and when I do start to remember them, it's probably time to change. I don't keep the password list in an easily accessible spot, and I don't keep them all together. I've considered putting them in an encrypted file so I only need to remember one password.

Choosing a hard-to-guess PW won't prevent hacking tools from cracking ur PW. Data breaches include user names & PWs that contain hash functions, these hashes (not the PW itself) can be used to obtain the actual PW thru brute force or other PW hacking tool. Creating a long/strong PW helps. Enable 2FA. Use separate devices for different uses. Good topic -I learn a lot from these

When during setup I set my WiFi security encryption to WPA2 (AES) only.
But after some days later in my smartphone the security level becomes Mixed type (WPA/WPA2)
What the hell is happening? Does someone already inside in my network?

I use small tiny line paper book and write my passwords down in the book and keep the book in my wallet as though it's a credit card or bank card. 35 to 80 characters. Works for me bc I write 3 characters per line on each page in the book to make typing it out easier.

Important: Delete your internet history, cookies, and temporary files at the end of each session. Never allow your browser to save your passwords. Physical hard drives should be defragged often to overwrite the -deleted- areas to defeat data salvaging.

Keep in mind sometimes websites get hacked but only the hashes of passwords are leaked at which point an attacker can brute force it offline. That said, most websites will require you to reset your password when this happens.

If you forget your log in and password and the website emails you your log in and password, there is zero security. That is the worst of all possibilities.
