I've used mail merge many times over the years - love it. This was a great tutorial for those not familiar with it. One problem I have is that I can't save the Word doc merge file for use at a later date, for example if I add a few more people to my Excel file and want to use the same letter to send to these add ons. The .docx file will not open and I get into a loop trying to find the data source. I have to save the original Word doc as a 2003 file. Not a big deal until Microsoft stops allowing users to save as these file types. What am I missing?

Thank you . We want individual pdf or word for some use but not to send via email attachements . What it does it it generates continuous word doc but does not allow to split. It create multiple pages .. I need that to be seperate in folder for me to use as I need to sign them manually .. Is there an option to do this please ?
Using mail merge I am able to crate word or PDF with multiple pages as desired but I want them to be individual files. Thanks in advance. We have to post them manually

Hi Kevin, Thanks for the excellent e-mail. I use Office 2016. I tried the steps shown by the video however i got message that I have to create profile in outlook. I did that and MSWord sent the e-mails (I noticed that the names were changing during the process). I opened the -sent- forlder in my outlook and it did not show that anything was sent. Any ideas?

Great video! Quick question for anyone, I know that sometimes email servers will flag emails as sending spam if that email is sending to large lists of people. Since these are being sent individually, is this a concern? Or should emails be sent in batches of certain sizes? For example, less than 50 recipients at a time instead of a list of 1,000? Thanks!

Thank you sooooo much. I work in an industry that requires me to email my warm leads and I couldnt use third party email marketing websites due to company compliance reasons and access rejects, but we do use outlook emails and excels. This tip is literally going to save me 2 hours every single day and that is MONEY!! Thank you so much again!

What if I have more than one email address per cell that needs to go the same company? Essentially, in excel, I have a cell that contains two or three email addresses because more than one person needs to receive the same email. Will the mail merge feature recognize this if I separate the email addresses with a comma or semicolon?

So so easy!! I feel like an idiot but I rarely have to mail merge, the few times I have, I go straight to this tutorial for perfect easy peasy instructions! Don't get me wrong, I literally have to do it step by step and pause here and there while I get it together but it works perfectly every single time!
