I really like how Lbry is improving week by week. 2 months ago many videos are buffering all the time, now I can watch most videos fluently. -
If a Lbry employee read this: Here are some more suggestions for the future:
- Since the last update the description, LBC details and file details are separated from the title. Why did they do this? I think it's better to have DESCRIPTION connected with TITLE section and LBC DETAILS together with FILE DETAILS. Besides, the Share, Repost, Tip, Download and report button should be closer to FOLLOWING button or Profile picture (like before, just with the new design. -
- On video pages suggestions should be moved to the far right side, so there is more space in width for the description field. Home / navigation bar should be moved to the left side. -
- We need optional Likes/Dislikes for comments and videos. -
- Bulk actions for videos (deleting multiple videos for example)-
- Some more stats and information in Creator analytics-
- Views should be displayed under or next to video thumbnails-
- Possibility to delete single content from your suggestions.
And comment notifications of course, but I know Lbry team will add this in a short time.

Congrats, Rob: you deserve to be in the Top 10! - And I already followed your suggestion to buy some LBC at a very cheap price!
Would you like to expose some facts (dating back to 19 years ago) about the Twin Towers, explaining how they did not slam to the ground during their destruction? (In fact, If they had slammed to the ground: 1. There would be over 1, 250, 000 tons of debris piled on the ground; 2. Manhattan would have been flooded; 3. The seismic recordings would have reflected two 500, 000-ton buildings and one 230, 000-ton building slamming to the ground.
None of the three facts happened)
If done well, as you are used to doing, it would be a very successful video, right?

hey: )
About decentralised cloud storage storage services, you said LBRY was based and centralised by AWS, i suggest you to check this project i am part of:
Sinovate. io
We are currently developping an open source collaborative encrypted cloud solution for mass adoption, and we look for better visibility. We are still in early days of that kind of promising decentralised techs.
Love your videos, thanks for your very informative and quality contents: )

Hey, Rob! Great to see you again. I went to download a LRBY client for my /e/ phone running de-googled Android, only to find that they only distribute their app through the Play Store: ( Wish they had a FOSS version on F-Droid or something. I'll look into third-party clients.

Thank you so much, Rob. I have been interested in LBRY recently and your quick video just gave more clarity on it.
Your work is very much appreciated, even if FB and google hate you. :) Actually the more they hate you the more your audience loves you.

If I understand correctly, the two main things that googles AI is in charge of, on YouTube, is the video recommendations and any automated service (mainly music detection and notification of confirmed copyright holders)

Rob Have you read the privacy policy on LBRY? Maybe Im not understanding it, but it looks like google adsense is used. Your thoughts? I agree that its less bad than being in googles environment, and free speech is amazing!

Very nice and clear explanation, thanks Rob. I've been using LBRY for a few weeks now, and I'm hopeful it will get popular.
Have you considered illustrating your videos with screenshots of what you talk about?

The only thing that scares me about LBRY is illegal content. I have no desire to be a part of a platform where illegal content can't be taken down. The content rules does say your content must be legal.

This platform doesn't work worth a damn, I just wasted over an hour jumping through hoops and not getting anything accomplished. I'll stick to youtube.
