Hi! Thanks for all the information, I've learned so much from your videos. I'm still a newbie to all this, so I would be grateful for a noncondescending answer:
Would there be a point in using a basic cellphone (not a smartphone) with a SIM card for everyday communication - calls and messages - and occasionaly using it as a hotspot for a non-SIM degoogled smartphone? Would that compromise the smartphone?
I intend to buy the new Fairphone 4 and use it with an open source operating system. However, I would also like to free myself from the need to carry a smartphone, so I figured I would buy a basic cellphone for communication and maybe use it as a hotspot (if it has the functionality) whenever I need to use the smartphone out of my home wifi range. Would that make any sense in terms of security or privacy?

My carrier allows limited hotspot sharing, then throttles it back. I've been using my tablet as a hotspot until it runs out, then switching to my phone.
The limit on data usage directly from my phone or tablet is much higher.
So if I use the Netgear, does the cell phone company think it is hotspot sharing with the lower limit, or will it just be seen as if it were the tablet or cell phone data?

Bro i was so happy last week when i got 5 mbps download, that was literally the fastest internet I'd ever experienced in my life and it felt blazing fast, a 3 gigabyte download was almost done by the time i was back out of the shower.
I have no idea how i would use 42 mbps speed, maybe I'm just too used to Australian internet speeds.

Yeah, but to get an LTE modem you need to register it under an ID. so unless you have a fake id. fake address and so on. .and also it can be triangulated ( the real GPS, not the fake GPS -signal - from -salellites- in -orbit - ) -
