Looks like T-drollble is turning me -off- because It's not 3G first then it was the frequencies. I knew this was baloney. As my phone is 4G. I didn't realize they were faking 5G. No surprise to me as all along they only offer the last generation and sell it as the next. When 3G came out I still only got slightly better than EDO. When 4G came out I only got slightly higher than 3G speeds. This is racketeering, felony fraud, and conspiracy to commit. I told this to the FCC in a complaint. Nothing is happening. Do nothing but collect a paycheck. This is where our tax dollars go. For people to sit around acting like they do something but do absolutely nothing.

spot on. I have horrible LTE/4G in my rural area and as I wait for starlink I fell for the T-mobile marketing that showed a map with coverage on my property. Well it only works when stationary on one spot with LOS to the tower. I think I'm back to my old LG phones with removable batteries (IMHO the reason why models are not supported since no batt is no signal. many IoT devices are on CDMA so I also don't see LTE/2G/3G going away.

It doesn't seem to me that anyone is concerned with these isues. They are going to find out that they should have been very concerned. As far as the radiation levels and the damage they cause, I think that problem will be revealed in a similar manner as the tobacco indusrty lie. It will take many years and very many health issues before the greedy wireless industry will be forced to admit the damage caused by cell phones.

Is it possible to just slip your phone or device into a small envelope type faraday cage to stop it sending and receiving? To achieve complete privacy for the period it is in that box/container. Eg a lead box (although I don't know if RF can travel through lead, or maybe a perforated aluminum box)

Phone carrier -Consumer Cellular- is already (Jan 2022) telling it's customers they will have to upgrade to a newer model to be able to continue receiving service. One Example: The Apple iPhone 6S is soon to be extinct on Consumer Cellular service.

We-ve had beam forming since 2002 and using it on WiFi since then. We aggregated WiFi and cellular in cormmunitity cellular extension. The roughly 2x4 panels were installed at resorts and community WiFi and Cellular.

So essentially, these carrier's marketing depts got way out in front of their proprietary technical iterations and with an unlocked phone, you can use the phone on GSM or CDMA, depending on the sim card. Got it.

As a licensed ham operator, at the cell tower if you create a focused signal it works both ways. You can send signals farther and receive farther so the cell phone wouldn-t nesisarily need to have MIMO

but aren't we really at the mercy of our carriers? My phone might be on an obsolete list to be deactivated anyway. No matter if it could still work through some hack. .
