Perfect example of Google manipulating search results. people were claiming that 6, 000 people had died in Puerto Rico because of the hurricane a couple years back, and I wanted to know how many people died in Puerto Rico in a typical month. This information always has been readily available for countries, US States, and Cities.
Every search on Google pointed to articles about how the president was responsible for the 6, 000 deaths in Puerto Rico. Google would no longer give me the links to the raw data to do a comparison.
Several months later, I did the same search and I could get the data unfiltered, and guess what. 6, 000 people die in Puerto Rico every month. And so if what the press was saying was true, you'd expect to get an anomaly for the month and of course for the year. In reality, the data showed that no additional people had died in Puerto Rico, making the point that the big tech companies, including Google manipulate results not just for business purposes but for political purposes.

I am a gamer and guess what, BING had gotten me ALL MY DLCs. How?
Microsoft rewards, you get points and you can get actual gift cards for Xbox, Amazon or donate to charity.
The rewards has trivia and opinions games and survey, so you can make your voice count, like say Joe Biden Sucks! Or let go Brandon!
Also Bing still shows torrents and random information like free movies or foreign results even if you are in the USA.
Also during political season they source every source and they list where comes from, so you know.
And yes, election night, they had Trump winning meanwhile Google already had call it for Biden.
They only updated the results after days and show when it was closed the polling and yes, after weeks if they kept adding ballots.

i think people overvalue their privacy. Don't take me wrong privacy is important, but if your day-to-day life is facebook, twitter, pornsite and then youtube and netflix, then eh. What is there so secreat about you? You share and say everything on social media already.
Ofcourse once my freedom will be compromised, then i'll start defending myself, but so far, 99% of all users are just lazy, boring, uninteresting folks and collecting their private information is literally waste of disc space.

ok but what about an actually funtional search engine gibiru which uses the google search engine shows that the words you search are highlighted but results remove some of the words and connect with a popular word used with it or recommended to you. so what do i use if i want to block irrelevant categories like articles, redirects, unrelated recommendations

I added start page and have been using it all the time. I got sucked into playing Wordle and doing so using Start page I found out that game site is tracking me. It knows when I played the game. Even if you close window and reopen it knows you finished the word and won-t let you try again. That there means they can track you.

It's disgusting what Google is doing. it is immoral, corrupt, and as far as I'm concerned, illegal. Unfortunately with big tech and big government sharing the same bed most of the time, nothing will ever happen to stop this. Only the people can be aware of this corruption and do their best to fight it.
