For anyone actually installing Linux on -bare metal- ( your machine ) be aware that you will probably have to disable secure boot in Windows ( use msconfig ) and change your computers bio's settings, again disable secure boot, select -other OS- and possibly other settings depending on machine. So do a search online for that information. You may also have to change boot priority or select the USB at first boot. I've no idea why these generic tips are never included in videos of this kind. Sorry Chris, good easy to follow video otherwise. +1 for rufus, always works.

I had windows 10 downloaded a long time ago but it was always laggy, what ever I tried is seemed to always lag even if I optimized it, but know I-m going to test Linux performance to see if it benefits the performance of my computer

Confused here. Do we download Rufus on the USB that we are putting Unbuntu on? I tried to install Unbuntu on an old laptop last night and it said there was no operating system on the usb...after a TWO hour download!

Video sucks. You don-t tell us to use an empty usb drive and you go from the download to somehow it-s already on the computer you want to switch to. Definitely not for new users.
