Tyler where have you been all my life? This may be one of the very best tutorials on ANY subject I have seen, and certainly the best WP tutorial for beginners. Just watching for the first hour I learned so much. I no longer feel like the only idiot in the world who just COULD NOT GET Word Press or Elementor or how to customize even the simplest of web sites. If someone else had created the site, I knew how to go in the back and make change, add pages, create posts, upload media, etc. But I needed a new website for my travel blog and was having a mental block (and a mini breakdown -) over the fact that I couldn-t seem to get up and running.
I never had the right teacher, clearly, and you are that person. Everyone -promises- -easy step by step- but no one delivers like you did here. And I laughed out loud when you showed the -I-m reading a book about how to set up a WP site- and then threw it over your shoulder. That was me. So THANK YOU for this clear and useful instruction. Life changing!

All the videos say -how easy it is- and yet it's too complicated to follow. And i use to put my own html web sties up way back before they made it so controlled and complicated. We were given the space free and a blank page to begin and we could put anything there we wanted - NOW THAT 'S EASY ! Back in the early 90's we didn't need a book on making a website - you just got the blank page and put what you wanted up there and that was it . All it was was copy and paste ! Then they got greedy and began the -hosting- thing to make money and that was the end of the simple web site and the free web site.
All these put ads out that it's free - but it's not .
I put together a html computer language web page back when you were -allowed- to do it. - but they do'n't allow that anymore - THEY now have to be in control !
And you have to use what they provide even if it's nothing to do with your web site.
Not for me !

After hours of trying to decide which web builer to use i thought there must be a cheaper way, thankgod i found your video. great tutorial and now i have hosting and design for a 1/3 the price i was expecting to pay. Thanks for the time its taken you to do this video. Obviously since the video was made it seems WP has changed the template slightly and i cant change the footer. Can anyone give some pointers to how to. Ive pressed all buttons and stretched my knowledge to the limit. thankyou

Hi Tyler, I have to repeat what everyone said: thank you. I saw the video twice.
it was a rollercoaster of being overwhelmed to: I think I can do it.
I appreciated the fact that you keep repeating the instructions over and over.
For someone that never heard certain tech words, it is important to have them repeated,
along with the explanation of the acronyms.

Hey Tyler, brilliant video. Thanks so much for this.
Just one question, when you edited the footer you hovered over Edit with Elementor and then 'Site Footer' appeared. For me, it doesnt appear, just 'site settings' and 'theme builder'. Do you know what i'm doing wrong? Thanks!
