Hi, I am 3rd party developer and this connection is designed to be used in anything that can handle TCP.
I used it in my project Fresh PSD.
Also this connection might be probably removed in future in favor of UXP. Also in your 3rd party apps you can embed something called generator-core and this will help you with coding the connection and using PS API.
I personally think that is easier and better to have server elsewhere and have client side in Photoshop so you can e. g. use websockets in UXP panels. It is more reliable and future proof.

This feature seems pointless. It starts from having to be on the same subnet. If you are within reach of your desktop, why can't you just go over and run the action on your desktop. If they are trying to leverage the cpu power from the desktop, a desktop, any desktop, why don't they create a feature that uploads the image to a temporary aws instance like a fleet and then use that processing power? We're paying Adobe enough with our subscriptions that they can do this. Thank you for putting up with this for us. Now we know to avoid: )

Ridiculous! If you have to be connected to the same Wifi network, that means you are at home sitting next to your computer so why in the world would you sit and wait for a faulty connection which could take 20 minutes. when you can simply Airdrop the photo to your computer and add the effect within 5 seconds. This is the kind of broken feature (that should never have been launched) that makes Adobe Apps seem outdated, obsolete and way behind the curve when it comes to mobile Apps.

Back in the days when people would still use Photoshop for mobile apps UI design, this served the purpose of live-previewing your design on your mobile phone. We had 'LiveView' from an indie developer then 'SkalaView / SkalaPreview' from bjango. Later Adobe even released their official iPhone app 'Preview CC', and discontinued it for the connection has never been stable enough. Everyone encountered the same issue in your recording.

Hey man firstly, I love your tutorials. Somehow you perfectly balance the pacing to not be frustratingly slow while also going steadily enough for me to be able to actually follow along.
Anyway, I was wondering: how do you think of ideas for these tutorials? Do you set out to learn new features in order to make a new video? Or do you already use these features regularly and THEN decide to make a tutorial on them?

Nice! Didn't know that! As I noticed, when you choose a 2nd effect other than which you've applied, photoshop is undoing all the actions it took for the first effect and then applying actions for the current selected one. So I think it's better to close the psd file after it finishes and start new. It's faster this way.

LOL. Exact as you told. It is not working. Still try to connect. Yes the phone is in the same network. Server is on. Photoshop restarted. But the phone found no servers.
And because that is a good moment! THANK YOU for all the Videos. I'm from germany and i appreciate your good teaching. Please dont stop: )

Just got me curious, so I fired up Photoshop to try it out. The first time I tried it after setting up it worked very fast and seamlessly, until I hit one option too many or something (too many too quickly) and things froze up. Still is neat and Id never known about - thanks!

When you are about to come home, turn on your computer, open Photoshop, endure the procedure of setting up a connection, and all that just to have Photoshop apply a predefined action, you might as well simply apply this predefined action from Photoshop itself.

The best way to get difficult people to do something is to embarrass them into doing it lol. I only use Photoshop when I have to. It's gotten so much worse over the years, and it only stands out because of its decent filters and machine learning stuff. :s

I've been learning a lot from you, cannot thank you enough for sharing those lessons free.
Can you share how you learn Photoshop and be at that level? Cause the way you mesmerize and take advantage of a bunch of tools always amazes me.

Even better would be for Adobe to just put those effects right into photoshop as well. why make us go through all of that rigmarole with connecting the phone app just to tell photoshop to do something it obviously already can do.

There are third-party apps to display Photoshop's canvas on Android, these seem to not be available at PlayStore anymore probably because of Adobe.
I currently use one called Design Mirror

dear sir, ur video on adobe photoshop are most useful for the begginers and to all
will u please tell us how we connect adobe photo shop 2021 to HP 500 42 IN PLOTTER for print.

reply

Since it requires both peers to be on the same network, I'm assuming it's using the local connection, so your internet speeds aren't actually a factor, just your LAN/WLAN speeds.

Is there any way to set up a PC with a cable connection (originating from the modem/router where all my mobile devices get the Wi-Fi signal? I don't have Wi-Fi on the PC.

Also would be nice to have a feature that can apply the word potato on your photos. And the condition to get that stuff is a connection with your desktop using dial-up.

Hey, piximperfect I know it's off-topic, but could you please do a review on the Xencelabs pen tablet and how it stands up to the Wacom tablet. Thanks in advance.
