Get ripped, wide shoulders like a professional athlete here If you want to get wider shoulders you sometimes have to use advanced shoulder training techniques that help you see results faster. In this video, I show you an advanced shoulder exercise that you can put into your very next shoulder workout. The use of spontaneous eccentrics is something that you can do with just a single dumbbell. The side lateral delt raise is one of the easiest exercises to incorporate this with. Simply take a dumbbell and position yourself as you would during a side delt raise. Instead of just raising the weight up and lowering the weight in control, explosively accelerate the weight up and release it ever so slightly at the top of the rep. Once you do, immediately try and regrip the dumbbell as it begins to fall towards the ground. The moment your grip is reestablished, your delts will be demanded to fire eccentrically to slow the descent of the dumbbell. This intense shoulder contraction is one you likely haven't experienced under normal training conditions. It is this type of advanced shoulder training that will help you to start seeing results faster. Getting bigger and wider shoulders is something that most guys put at the top of their wish list. Part of the reason is the fact that most women state that seeing wider shoulders on men makes them more attractive. The second reason is that guys with big shoulders usually have a muscular body throughout. If you want to start building big, wide shoulders then you have to start training like an athlete. Visit and get explosive upper body and lower body workouts that will get you delts, back, chest, arms and legs that get noticed

So many idiots put him down. You have to understand, that he has to make a living too.
His information is spot on 100%. No BS.
Go to college and take basic human anatomy and physiology and then talk.
Also get a 6-8 year pHD in physical therapy then really talk crap about this guy, but before all that recheck your own self determination.
People will easily say he is on steroids or easily say he is full of crap science. I see so many idiots lift in the gym, I won't open the can of worms here to discuss this.
I can do the entire rack with my triceps rope pull too, the secret is do your chest with it too. It looks tough, but are you really working the triceps.
All my exercises now look like pussy weight, but this one big military guy now seceretly follows my exercises with light weight. I see he focuses more on the his form/contraction then practicing his EGO.
So please learn here which is free and if you have nothing nice to say about anyone, then don't say it. If you do this at a job you will probably end up in bad politics and even fired.
But I am sure to those hard asses that everything I wrote is BS. They are experts in the gym and experts at life over all. This is just basic etiquette, nothing new.

Bro, Jim. That motivation video is everything everyone has said to me. I started at 109 lbs with a height of 5'7. I joined the Army and began the gym life. I would get so discouraged when I would see people lifting like 3 45's on each side while I have just a 10 and a 5. But to my surprise nobody that was ever ripped or was serious about the gym ever doubted me. They where the ones that said to keep coming back. the people who where critical where the one who are obviously fat bodies. When I would preform and obtain a perfect score and celebrate my hard work I would hear them talk behind my back and say, -it's easier for him because he is small. - Is it not true that everyone is proportional as far as the body?

Is it good that i workout for 30 minutes i've heard people workout for 2 hours and i'm not sure if 30 minutes is good enough now. My goal is to become ripped but i do have little bit of body fat my current weight is 160 - 165. I'm 5, 6 -9 not sure but i am around there( i'm 16. My sets and reps depends on the workout that i am doing. Any positive feedback will be appreciated. Thanks

Interesting. I noticed something like this when I was fiddling around with lateral raises to try figure out what way would help stimulate my lateral delt, it wasn't exactly like this, but I noticed that if I relaxed my muscle at the top of the movement and let the weight drop for a split second while holding onto it I could feel it in my delts a lot more than normal.

You know I find it hard to believe that anyone can question exercises Jeff shows us when it's basically his job to know exactly what he's talking about, and to make sure its safe. Above all things it is almost 100% of the time the persons fault who is trying exercises and just not executing it properly with the correct weight, and the correct form.

But Jeff, didn't you say that the Side Lateral raise isn't recommended due to the stress it puts on the shoulder joints? Isn't that why you have some modified Side Lateral raise in your programs with the elbow's bent? I remember you mentioned something about this subject in your previous videos. can't remember which one though.

So many people have written how they've destroyed body parts (their's & other lifter's) as well as property attempting to perform this exercise.
People, the key word here is: Advanced.
Jeff is advanced; most of us are still in amateur mode, even if we've been lifting for years.

I see a lot of good comments on all of his videos. Like all the comments are basically good, I just wonder why are there dislikes of them. Like why do people not like the amazing advice and tips he offers freely with no cost, wth

It's so simple, but its pure genius! You remind me of my physical therapist/chiropractor. He does a lot of weight training too, but this is a great tip since I'm working on my shoulders right now. Thank you!
