6 Minute Fat Loss Workout (BEGINNER - INT - ADVANCED)

A fat loss workout is often not as effective as it should be because it commits one of two programming sins. The first is scaling the fat burning workouts by time, to match the ability level of the person performing it. The second, is compromising the difficulty level of the exercise selected to make sure everyone can do the workout. In this video, I-m going to show you a much better way to lose fat by avoiding these two common fat loss workout mistakes. It starts with an explanation on the technique of choosing a workout that is longer for the more advanced users and shorter for the less advanced. The mistake here is that you are compromising the minutes of effort that the person who is likely more in need of the program in the first place, is doing. Think about it. If you are a beginner you likely have more fat to lose than someone who is more advanced in their training. Making the beginner do only 30 seconds of work versus someone more advanced who may be doing 2 minutes is severely cutting into the amount of seconds of effort that is being put forth by that person. This is going to have the end result of having the beginner do far less work and burn far fewer calories than those performing the work for longer. The next thing that happens is, those that program fat loss workouts this way, realize that in order for this to be the case they program the same exercise for each. This compromises the level of difficulty of the exercise chosen so that it is still possible for the beginner to do it, while often times not being challenging enough for the more advanced. Both of these mistakes can be corrected by training in the Shred zone. The new Max Shred program from ATHLEAN-X shows you how to not just match the trainee with an exercise variation that is going to challenge them the most and therefore help them burn more calories, but to ensure everyone is working for the same amount of time. In this video, I show you a 6 minute fat loss workout that you can do regardless of whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced trainee. The key is that everyone is going to perform each of the three rounds listed for 2 minutes at a time. The advanced will try and do the advanced exercises for the entire duration of the 2 minutes. The intermediate will attempt to start with the advanced exercises and then drop down when needed to be able to complete the 2 minutes. The beginners will attempt to do the intermediate exercise for as long as possible before dropping down. The exercises chosen here are done so to ensure high effort is being exerted. Not just that, but these exercises get more metabolically demanding as they require more muscle groups to participate in order to ensure you do them properly. This results in more caloric burn and more bang from your buck. This means, shorter more intense workouts that burn fat faster. If you are looking for a program that burns fat faster than anything you have tried, head to and get the Inferno Max Shred program. This fat loss specialty plan will not just help you to lose unwanted body fat but it will not compromise your strength or muscle gains in the process

Been doing this workout first thing every morning for the last 3 days. I'm extremely overweight (380 lbs and 5'9-. 6 major things I noticed. And this is at beginner level.
1. This will murder your throat if youre not careful about your breathing. For some reason this helped be learn to better regulate how I breath during the exercise and in anything else I do.
2. If you do this on an empty stomach as out of shape as I am and last the full 6 minutes, roughly 20 seconds will be spent choking dry heaving and vomiting stomach acid or food if you ate before hand (not recommended. This ties into breath control.
3. I was sweating for 4 to 5 hours after doing the 6 minutes. This will raise your body heat and blood flow considerably. Stay hydrated. Also explosive cardio in my opinion.
4. This somehow reset my sleep schedule to going to bed at a reasonable time and waking up to do the routine first thing.
5. You will be sore after doing this for a few consecutive days, but for me it makes me feel alive, motivated, and dare I say addicted to how amazing and awake I feel as the day goes on. Coffee cant compare.
6. I dont let myself hit the floor in the fetal position cuz willpower and because I live in a second floor apartment. Also I dont want to accidentally let asleep after collapsing. I sit in a chair coughing and choking down water

I admire Jeff and what he's been able to accomplish but his -beginner- levels are really for intermediate people. Most people my age (say 50+) can't do mountain climbers or modified burpees for two minutes. So when they look at this they get discouraged and don't want to try at all. A good instructor realizes that de-motivation is the #1 enemy. Jeff is so damn advanced and fit - and he's awesome in that regard - he seems to have a real issue relating to those who are just trying to crawl off the couch to start.

Jeff you are a pioneer to the common Man and Woman. I finally started getting consistancy from your dumbell series to start giving my 60-80 Ibs of extra fat some muscled assistance and a bit of shape. Now im moving onto this workout and adding it to my week. Without you the begining of this road wouldn't be possible. I coupd barely finish this beginner routine but that just shows how much stronger, faster, and LESS FAT ill be by the end.
You change lives, and soon will be changing mine. Thank you.

What kind of warmup and cooldown should you do with this? Also, what if you can't do the whole 2 minutes even with the beginner? I did like 30-40 seconds of intermediate and made it slightly more than a minute with the 1st 2 exercises, then have to stop and rest every few seconds.

I consider myself being able to take some -normal- cardio or weight punishment. I can't almost write after the six minutes of beginner excercises here, I wasn't able to complete without second of breaks. Hahaha, a very good one, this is. Next day again: D Thanks a lot.

I thank you for this video. I did the six mins intermediates for 1 min and then beginners for the last. I had some more energy left over so I did the beginner version for 6 more mins and was done. I should've stuck with the beginners first huh?

Putting this here to make this official. I'll do this daily alongside my dietary changes and I will update unlike all the comments you see that leave you wondering if the person died or something.

So to do the advanced level you basically have to be superman? Great. Sarcasm aside though these videos are really useful. I'm gonna try with the beginner although I'll probably struggle with it too.
