Ok. I have a question? These charter schools are they private schools? And if so do they have a choice of a public school? My problem is. Public schools are struggling just as much if not more. They only way our public schools are going to get better is to stop the money flight to the private schools. Education is what you make it, you can either learn what to do or what not to do. But learning is on the receiver and no amount of money will every truly teach that. Teachers are not their to entertain. It is a collaborative environment. If the parents can't motivate their own child then why should anyone expect a teacher too? But patrons who have the luxury to pay 20-40k for private schools they should fund their schools with private money. business who are paying property taxes. I feel your primary interest should be those students who have to tuff it out and learn and master the afore mentioned skill set in a public school. Just saying. chances are those kids are going to be your patrons, mayor's, electricians, teachers ECT. Being that a majority of public school kids who do go on to college and graduate come back to where they started and build their community that number is significantly lower for private and Ivey league school graduates. Makes good business sense to me
Sincerely

Say what you will about America, but you can't take away the incredible facilities they provide their schools.
Coming from Australia you cannot compare the level of opportunity and encouragement given to students in the sporting and academic departments.
Honestly we're lucky to have an oval in our institutions, let alone a team of some varying kind.

One thing I just can't get past is the two guys in uniform the whole time. It might be a military school thing but there undershirts we wrong, one guy had the wrong boots and the same guy had a CIB -combat infantry badge- on his airforce style uniform. I'm sure there's an explanation that has to do with the school but I hope it's not shenanigans

We had nothing like this in my High School, our gym was for basketball, volleyball, gymnastics. Weights / resistance training was not even thought about.

When I was a junior the San Diego chargers redid our entire weight room. Not the biggest fan of the team but the players were unbelievably nice and friendly

Weight lifting may help you become stronger, but if you don't work on athletic performance as well you will fall behind in professional sports
