A POV of Goofy's Sky School Coaster, IncrediCoaster, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Coaster at the Disneyland Resort using the Hypersmooth setting on the New GoPro Hero 7 Black. Hypersmooth does not work really well in low light as you can see in the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. No gimbal was used in this video, all straight out of the new GoPro 7 Black. No post stabilization was used when editing the video. GoPro 7 hypersmooth Test on a roller coasters at Disneyland & Disney California Adventure So what do you guys think of the new Hypersmooth on the GroPro 7 Black?

This was amazing. I hate to sound greedy, but you need to get a 360deg camera so I can watch the videos in VR with my newGalaxy S8 in the Gear VR headset and be able to look around at different things while on the coaster. That would really bring back the memories. This one was close enough for now, when the Incredicoaster came to the end where it takes your picture I looked up at it and waved while watching on my 60inch 4K tv. Felt kind of silly. Thanks

lens flare, frame gibberish when in low light, weird video lag on sharp corners, weird distortion when it tries to compensate for fish eye. Same stuff I was seeing so I bought the karma grip which disables the hypersmooth setting. Points for convenience, minus on everything else. Great low light photos with longer exposures though.

Awesome I keep getting scared, though. How do you know if the camera won't be too tall and hit the ceiling or an obstacle? Clearly it's higher than the heads of the riders. Did you guys get height clearance info first or something?
reply

You should make a part two that includes Gadgets Go Coaster, Matterhorn and Space Mountain. You should also do a WDW one that includes Rock n Roller coaster, Expedition Everest, and Slinky Dog Dash.

The Incredicoaster is the smoothest ride I've been on, and my first rollercoaster. It was so fun and I can't believe I was actually scared of that ride I didn't feel the loop at all

On 7: 07 you can see how the Star Wars place is going so far. It is cool last I went to Bid Thunder my t dad pointed that out it was cool. All that construction and stuff.

I will be going to Disneyland with my kids and thinking on buying GoPro Hero 7 Black. What setting did you use on this ride and what is the best FOV on rides?
reply

I don't really mind either camera. (I have literally no experience with them. Whichever you prefer to use is fine with me, your videos look great either way.

Is there anything I hate more than people who scream in that first tunnel on Big Thunder? Probably not. The image stabilization looks terrific, though.

Still some herky-jerky movement with the sharper turns/shakes. Very impressive stuff to be coming directly out of camera though
