Sincerity's misadventures
You all think this is a bad ride? You've obviously not taken the ride itself. You can't feel how immersive this ride is because it is captured by camera. If you ride for real( like I did) you would really feel that oh no I shrunk feeling at the shrinking scene. Yes there are no animatronics unlike buzz lightyear astro blasters but the actors on the TV screens put in a lot of effort to seem like they are really battling along side you. And what are you doing? Disliking them cause there is no movement? Like physical. I feel like that is just wrong. And if you take this ride and still feel it is bad I don't blame ya. But this is disney testing things out overseas (unless you live in Hong Kong) so this is why it may be bad. And it's not like there are no more buzz lightyear rides in other countries And if you like to see a Ant-Man animatronic then let me tell you this. Imagine you were a famous actor and there is a ride dedicated to you. You must feel great right? Right. In my point of view if my acting skills can be replicated by a bot, but it makes me feel unwanted. Why? Cause a robot can replace me Have you thought about that? No I don't think so. I'm sorry if you are offended but I'm just annoyed that most people can't understand why this ride exist. It is disney testing out if rides are good or bad before building them in other disneylands ( for example Tron). Also disney been planning to get rid of buzz lightyear for a long time cause it was more goofy than futuristic unlike the shanghai one. Realise the shanghai and nano battle shooting system are the same? Yup this is disney evolving and this was just nice possibly a wrong move. So pls give disney some time and don't critisize them just because YOU AND YOUR LITTLE FAMILY AND FRIENDS hate it cause it is really just mean and question are you just saying you hate the ride cause others do? pls dislike this if you disagree with EVERYTHING i just said and leave your thoughts by repling to this. Your feedback is greatly appretiated bot 2

Disney has a history of lazily re-skinning old rides to cash in on an IP that's trending (many of which they didn't even make popular themselves but simply bought the rights to. Disney World is full of examples, including Lilo & Stitch, Finding Nemo, Frozen, and--cringe--the Star Wars Launch Bay. Lately they've been cashing in on the Marvel fad, and this is yet another product of it. I can't decide which is worse: this or the Guardians of the Galaxy re-theme of Tower of Terror. At least this kind of makes sense, even if it's boring and everything is inexplicably static and the not-so-special effects are so cheap that you can't even tell what it's supposed to be portraying.

Hate to say it, but WDI really blew it with this one. Not only is it little more than a re-theme of Buzz Lightyears Astro Blasters at Disneyland (down to similar track layout) but the effects as depicted in the concept art never materialized in the attraction at all No Giant-Man, no Wasp attacking a huge attacking claw-like machine grabbing at the guests, no AA's, no moving pieces at all Even Disneyland's BLAB, installed in 2005, had at least SOME moving set pieces, not so here. Shanghai got the deluxe version of this type of ride system, albeit, with an plain and overused art-style. Hong Kong gets burned once again it seems.

Imagine if the villain employed tiny robots that were trying to siphon the information directly from the tech, and people could shoot at the robots, causing them to go limp for a bit, depending where you shot them? And what if the ant-man ride actually had ant-man helping by sending in ants? Instead of the place looking like a continuous hallway, they could have certain sections where it looks like the ants have carved through and opened areas for the players. You could even have a few fight scenes of ants versus nano bots where you can help the ants out by shooting the nano bots

Honestly, I don't think this is a bad ride, its just lacking what Buzz Lightyear has: visual stimuli. Moving parts and targets and neon lights really catch your attention in Buzz Lightyear. While neon doesn't necessarily work for the theme of the ride, moving targets would be a huge help. Also, there's a lot of dark space with nothing there. Buzz immerses you in the world of the ride, with things above you, in front of you, behind you. Antman needs that as well. If just those couple things were added to the ride, it'd be way more fun.

Notice how the Chinese arent disgusted by the sound of English? Just a thought. I feel like were kind of programmed to find the Chinese language repulsive in the US. Either repulsive, or annoying, or funny-sounding. Its sad, bc theres so much beauty in Chinese culture that goes right over americans heads. We cant get over their rude behavior, and just how differently they speak, look, and behave.

Really disappointed at HK Disney. They already did a re-skin with the space roller coaster into a Star War theme. Same tracks, same duration, just different decorations. Now they did the same thing with Buzz Lightyear ride and made it Antman theme. What's next? Re-skin the Treasure Island into Pirates of the Caribbean or re-skin the Carousel into animals and call it the Lion King ride?

Darn, I was really looking forward to this but it looks a little boring, to be honest. The design was really nice but theres no action. Its like a better designed Space Ranger Spin. Why couldnt they have included like a mix of animatronics and the 3D projections? Like the robot claws and stuff at the start could have been moving or something. just something that makes it more exciting

The design of the rides environment is nice, but the use of an omnimover shooting game doesnt seem right for ant man. I was thinking maybe a star tours style ride of riding on ant-ony battling ghost is fun. Thats a good use of screens in a ride. Even a mini roller coaster could fit better. Art Design: 9/10 Technicalities: 3/10

I tried in the buzz ride before. It's very good and I love that ride so do everyone. But now, the transformation of the ride ant-man looks so cheap, it's just some board and not a single animatronic. It comes to some TV screen instead. Its Unreal and I'm extremely disappointed on that ride. Only hope Disney can change it. :(
