Nice! Too bad we don't have 'em in the west. Can't be more dangerous than a white-water rafting ride, and doesn't have to be made of glass.
I imagine those theme parks built on a mountain could have used this ride! Mom and Dad ride down the carriage with the stuff, while the kids go down the slide!

I don't know about the rest of you but I was watching the absolute torrent of water that they were building up in front of them I like to call that mass of built up water a bow surge if anyone has a better name for that phenomenon I'd love to hear it

So I don’t see the point of a waterslide if they make you wear plastic bodysuits and helmets and all this other garbage, I can understand the seatbelt, but not the rest of it. I mean the whole point of a waterslide is to get wet.
reply

I can understand the safety harnesses, but being completely wrapped in plastic I'd want to get wet and not be sweating inside a plastic bag. Unless the temperature is near freezing. Otherwise, looks like a lot of fun.

This is so cool- It reminds me of being on white water rapids, but so much safer! This is the kind of experience I would love to try-the helmets, the safety bars, and the respect of the ride-definitely worth it!
reply

Imagine your raft springing a leak partway down.
It looks like every writer is wearing that blue plastic, makes me wonder if the water has some kind of virus or parasite in it.

The water slide is EXACTLY one lap of Talledega Superspeedway to put things into perspective as it is 2. 66 miles long and one lap of the racetrack is ALSO 2. 66 miles long.
reply

So what was the previous record holder I wonder. Or was this one of those records that only exists because someone paid Guinness officials to measure it and put it in the book
reply

I LOVE the fact that their idea of a safety restraint is the equivalent of a 1940s desk fan guard.
Made extra special by the fact that its dented and broken in spots.

I like this one. Faster than most but not dreadful. Does the owner owns the mountain or something Like the guy from until dawn, that would be pretty sick.
reply

9: 45 - was not expecting that! Your peaceful descent down the mountain is about to shift up a gear! That last sector was hilarious with a bit more speed.
reply

That looks AMAZINGLY fun! However, unless you're absolutely required to wear the plastic coverings, I would skip them, no matter how wet that means I'd get.
reply

I'm not sure what's happening with the plastic bag but I bet is because of the mildew and mold on the ride. You can see it.
reply

That is insane I watched the whole ride
Lol and when the peeps caught you from behind they mus havet picked up booster perk
