I was in Disney last week. I was going to get on this ride. There was a nine year old kid in front of me who was obviously a little special. He was screaming and crying and basically throwing a fit because he didn't want to ride it. He was with his dad and his brother. He was causing so much trouble that a cast member told all three of them to exit the line. Another cast member walked over and kept frantically asking what happened. The kid made such a mess that she thought something BAD had happened. Like somebody had gotten seriously hurt. I don't want to immediately assume autism, but it certainly was an autistic type response.

Your all forgetting the fact that in this version you get to customize your car and compete against others. And 4-7 years of that old piece of junk? People want change sometimes. Plus don't forget that this is supposed to be fitting in with the new theme at Epcot called FUTURE WORLD. You people down in the comments are also forgetting, this is faster, and more fun. When you stop at the beginning tests, it jerks you around, while the old one didn't. So why don't you ride it for your selves, and see how much better it is. -Spoken by somebody who rode it and can tell ya how better it is

The old one was better themed because of the whole TEST track thing. You know, cause its all about testing out cars. This Neon thing ISNT bad, but not an upgrade. I guess they can cheat the theme by saying you are testing a car in the video game world (TRON) but, its neither an upgrade nor a downgrade. I do feel like the speed area got slower, dont know.

1 question, For the past 5 months at the start of the ride the cars stop immediately and throw off the timing of the hill climb audio and special effects, this didn't start happening until just recently, does anyone know why this is happening? I mean they can easily fix it by running the ride how they did for the first 3 years it was opened.

I remember going way back when this had only been open a short time (the original ride. it was a test track and you were the test dummies. the ride looked a lot better and made a lot more sense -- this just seemed like they wanted to updated it and just tagged tron onto it -- i looked more boring: -(

It's looking familiar. Wasn't this at Disneyland 2? I remember seeing a ride that goes through and near the rockets, and above I believe on star wars, at Tomorrowland. U can still probably c that track road above 2day.

wow they fixed it up big time I like the detail and everything they added to fit with the new tech these days I might have to go to Disney sooner then I think to keep up with the change XD

Never been on it but this doesnt look fun. Seems (for obvious reasons) to be an inferior Radiator Springs Racers. Glad this technology ultimately helped create that beautiful ride though

This can't be called Tron because it has neon colors (it just changed because of Chevrolet and refurbishments) and its Epcot, not EpCot smh. Still, this is a good quality video.

I rode it before they redid it and after when they redid it. I'm downright disappointed with the new 'improved' version of the ride. The old one was better and made a lot more sense.
