I am going In Philadelphia on October 20th, 2018 which happens to be my husband's birthday. He died of Cancer this year. I am taking my 8 year old daughter to experience this beautiful moment, and we are going to write love notes and wishes to heaven. Does anyone know if you need to bring your own tiki torch?

we need to have a world lantern day, in which everyone from all over the world lights lanterns and sends them off. the photos from space would be magicalhow dangerous are these things. what if we used lights inside instead of fire to make it safer, or would they not rise

I love this this is beautiful I was thinking of trying to do something like this at my wedding reception have everyone come out and stand by the water and send out blessings and washes for the bride and groom like their lantern and let it go

Ive been to a festival like this for the past two years in Alabama. But it doesnt compare to this. Sooo many more people and lanterns. What I saw was incredible but I wouldve been sobbing had it been like this. Wow.

Where will all these paper lantern go to ultimately? Fall back to earth as waste. Waste resources just because to see some spectacular sight. Thousands of it. Just do it rarely.

I am literally crying as I watch this I am experiencing this for the first time in my life on 6/30/18 in PA. I can't wait to release it all into the atmosphere.
