Koyasan Travel Guide - Best things to do in Koyasan Japan Komainu: This was such a great video! I went there in 2017 and unfortunately the rail line was down at the time causing a bus transfer and a large delay. Ended up getting there in the late afternoon vs mid morning. Was so tired ended up missing a bunch of things including Okunoin! But still glad we made the effort to get there and stay at a temple.
One of these days I'll be back. Maybe not a temple stay this time due to expense, but if you're a first time visitor splurge a little.

Thanks for your travel guide video. Very good. I enjoyed my stay at Koyasan very much for 3 days and 3 nights in December 2019. Got immersed in the 5am chanting at Tororo temple and visiting the cemetery during daytime and night tour. Museum and the different tempel complexes are a vist worth. Had a very inspirational time there. Highly recommended!

Superb vid Allan! So much details in your info, and you presented in ways which made it easier to capture the info - great and deliberate diction in your narration, good captions, and lovely soothing music. Beautiful captures as well, of the scenes. Thank you!

Had to come here during July to bring my uncle back and I do not handle humidity well at all think its bc I grew up in Arizona. Planning on spending at least a day in kyosan then heading north for more reasonable temperatures lol

Thanks Allan! Our family will travel to Japan in the next couple of days. I wanted to thank you because your videos were an inspiration for our itinerary. We'll be stopping at Koyasan for a night and staying at one of the local temples.

mt. Koya is the real ancient Japan( I think Kyoto is a little bit for travel and sight seen. )
When you go to Mt. Koya, Ekoin)is the really good Shukubo to stay, it has night tours of Okunoin.
I go there every year, really good.

This is so so beautiful! I esp loved your appeal to visit the place at the end of the video, but the video itself is to inviting, I'm sure people would love to visit the place due to it alone. Breathtaking visuals Allan!

I am here, in Koyasan, staying at Saizenin, rain pouring outside after having experienced the most beautiful day. All because of this video. I felt compelled to return to this video and say it. Thank you Allan.

Welk done, you really nailed it on visiting Koyasan- and this is coming from a tour guide of 20 years who's taken many guests here. Great (relevant) info and beautiful production, bravo!

Hey Allan,
What is your time of arrival and departure to koyasan?
Do they have luggage storage because the check-in time is late and the checkout is too early.
Thanks: )

For the people that have stayed at the temples, will it be an issue that I have a tattoo on my upper arm? I know Japanese people in certain places have people with them.

What a beautiful and equally useful video. Thank you for the clear transportation information especially. I wish all videos included such important information. Keep it up!

I'm forever permanently changed even in the past. My own memory of myself is shattered and replaced with a moss covered blissful remembrance of all love of the self that is you.

Thank you for a very nice video guide. You understand the charm of Koyasan better than we do. It's impossible now because of the coronavirus. But please visit again someday.
