Rocamadour is a breathtaking medieval village in southwestern France, dramatically perched on a sheer limestone cliff above the Alzou Canyon, creating a stunning vertical layout that seems suspended between heaven and earth. This ancient pilgrimage site, part of the UNESCO-listed Routes of Santiago de Compostela, features a sacred sanctuary with the Basilica of Saint-Sauveur, the Crypt of Saint-Amadour, seven chapels, and the revered Chapel Notre-Dame housing the miraculous Black Madonna statue. Visitors ascend the famous Grand Staircase of 216 steps on their knees (historically) or by foot to reach the religious heart, while the upper castle ruins offer panoramic views over the valley, blending profound spiritual history with one of France's most picturesque and awe-inspiring landscapes.

I love how clean the streets are. when I moved to the states
I noticed right away. Over the years its gotten worse. Its not
too much to ask that America pick up its trash. its maddening.
Thanks for showing me around. I bet they have really good wine.
