Rediscovering VIRGINIA BEACH -Fresh Waters, Fair Meadows, and Goodly Tall Trees You can go to Va Beach if you want to. but be prepared to pay some parking tickets and be prepared to get pulled over by the police for something. It doesnt matter what it is. they will pull you over. I could go to any other city in hampton roads and not get pulled over for a tail light being out, but va beach police will damn sure pull you over. one time I was visiting a friend and my friend gave me a parking pass to hang by my rear view mirror. spent the night. woke up. truck GONE! Got towed in the middle of the night. thought it was stolen at first. until I called several impound yards and finally found my truck. be careful, the tow truck companies are able to get away with anything there. Just be prepared for something to go wrong. happens every time I set foot in va beach! Once I got to Nags head, the fun began. I had a blast in Nags head. Half the crime, half the police. Half the tow trucks.

I don’t know why this video popped up but l loved it. Thanks for doing a great job to my childhood home. I grew up in the area before there was any major tourism, left for college and employment but still visit several times a year. I will retire in a few years back to the beach around the Rudee Inlet area. The world has changed and Virginia Beach has always survived on the fishing and tourism industry. With 20 million visitors a year unfortunately there will be an increase in crime. However it’s still safer than most places in the USA and still a great place to live.

Virginia is best of all worlds. We live in Lynchburg, a Piedmont area of the Blue Ridge Mountains with rivers and lakes. VA Beach is a 3h45m drive, making it an easy weekend retreat. Though a much busier beach compared to i. e. OBX, it makes for a great vacation whereas everything is within walking distance or a short drive. It’s also more a military/living population, so the area is still lively almost year round. September-October is our favorite time to visit. Waters are the warmest, air temps can still be 80’s, less tourists and the locals come out from hiding.

Going further south down General Booth to Princess Anne Rd, south, passing through Pungo, a couple miles down is the Aviation Museum. They have fully restored vintage aircraft from the World Wars and restored hangars. Also the ability to fly aboard one of two vintage aircraft. Events include flight demonstrations of the restored aircraft.

My biggest gripe with virginia beach is that the ocean front is 80% hotels 10% restursnts and 10% recreational. There should be wayyy more room for recreation and independent shops to add more culture to the ocean front. Kinda sucks how much of a presence all these hotels have and most of them aren't even nice to look at.

My home. thanks for showing it, such a beautiful place! Norfolk is a great place too, all comprising a great area to live complimenting each other.
I'd suggest omit the pricing in your videos, it will save time, plus if the price changes in the future, the info would still relevant, bringing the timelessness.

So many places to see and explore. Thank you for all the great media you film and share. I like many others on here, I think dream and imagine going to all these places and even as one said moving to some of those places you have filmed. It’s always top notch.

I’m stationed here and I can’t wait to leave not a terrible place just to much traffic for me and some terrible drivers. Seems like crime is going up all over around here as well. But there is a lot of stuff to do and some really good places to explore and eat.

Your videos have been helping me to decide where I want to go for my snowbird retirement in 18 months. Been thinking of buying a summer seasonal around Virginia Beach area in a RV Resort Park. So much to do around there. Would never get bored.

The ocean isn't that blue. It's so fake. I live there I know. Sorry to say so. Everything is over price and taking advantage of the tourists. Tell me what you think Have a nice day.

I live in Virginia Beach. This place has constant traffic, crashes and tolls. If you want to go do fun things expect HUGE crowds. There is also crime so don't go out late.

The drinks at Ocean 27 are bomb. If you go there for drinks, ask for Sean to make you something, it will blow your mind. Make sure you tip well, those guys deserve it

My city did a concrete pier and more modern restaurants, it brought in so many tourists and money into the region.
