Aerial Tour of Omaha Nebraska Well I live right here in Omaha, Nebraska. I would have moved out long ago if it had not been for my wife just saying NO. Heres just a few reasons why I hate living here. 1. The weather here really sucks-from mid NOV to late MARCH its very cold/snowy/windy/and just plain miserable. As an example just this last FEB. there were many days in a row with below zero temps and if you add in the winds the WIND CHILL INDEX on many days was 20 to 35 below zero. Not exactly picnic weather! 2. In the summer there is very High Humidity and the damn MOSQUITOES come out about 6PM and drive you crazy. Iam somewhat allergic to them so cannot be outside after about 6PM. 3. Because of the Low Population base the property taxes here are much higher than many other cities and states. My mill levy here is 2. 8% which is way higher than many other places. 4. We dont have any Pro Teams so youre either a Husker fan or you just arent anything. 5. Probably the one thing I would say that is a good thing is Omaha is a relatively conservative and you dont really find too much of the Left Wing Radicals here---THANK GOD.

Lived in Omaha for 4 years and loved it more often than not. It can definitely be comfortable, but like any city it has its issues. It's a bubble for many people who have lived their whole lives there. The brain drain problem everyone talks about is real, I can attest to that because I was a casualty of it. I took my skills and moved elsewhere to a place a little less regressive. I think about moving back every now and then, but I know I would just want to move elsewhere after a few years again. It was a time and place, I'll always be grateful for it!

This video is a total joke. should be labeled Aerial Tour of the Old Market in downtown Omaha Nebraska. You literally didn't even scratch the surface and only showed MAYBE 1% of the city. Plus, showing cornfields at the beginning is so inaccurate it's not even funny. We are a CITY, we don't have farmland in the city. You are literally stereotyping us just because that's what you think of when you hear Nebraska. Please do more homework before making these videos, or at least title them more accurately. Other than that, nice footage.

Each area of the city has it's own personality and they are all very interesting. North Omaha and South Omaha are rich in history and are worthy of a tour. Many delicious restaurants and beautiful historic homes and buildings. And I really wish people would stop referring to these areas as slums or ghettos. Who says that anymore

Honestly, while this is nice, there is more to the Omaha metro area than downtown as what is shown here. More than I know and I grew up here (but I do need to get out more) As far as the view, I spent 6 months travelling around in (mostly wilder parts) of California, and I dearly missed being able to see the horizon.

Anyone from Omaha it's time for a MLB team there I know you guys have the collage world series there which is awseme and might take away from you guys getting one. I'm from St. louis and I think it would be awseme to have another rival with the Cardinals.

Ah, so this is what fly-over America looks like. Honestly, it's impressive. I'll have to visit someday. I bet there are so many great places like Omaha in middle America that I don't know about or misunderstand.

I'm from Indonesia and i always dream about getting in cities like Nebraska, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Colorado, or Texas. Idk very much about those cities but they sound so cool and fine to live in.

I am from Montreal Canada and if I was to move to the states that is the kind of city I would want to move to. Countryside is not far, lots of parks, the Missouri river, etc what's not to like

Californians, if you want to be treated like a real human being- move to this small Midwestern city because they are so nice, escape CALIFORNIA! You can thank me later!

Lived here all 33 years of my life. Omaha is a nice place to raise a family and to have a quiet retirement. Other than that, it's a pretty boring place to live.

It's a nice video but unfortunately that huge Fountain w/lake and park at the beginning, as well as the former ConAgra headquarters, have since been torn down.

I grew up in Iowa and it may sound weird, but there is a beauty seeing corn fields from the air. Nice video of Omaha! Thanks for sharing.
