Never thought I'd see anything in Oklahoma on a Top 10 list. Also, as an Oklahoman, I would recommend going to the OKC National Memorial and Museum from the OKC bombing. He shows a picture, but doesn't mention stopping there. It is hands down one of the most moving memorials I've seen. It was designed by some of the same people who designed the 9/11 Memorial in NYC, which is also super amazing and moving.

Good information here my man! My better half and I are researching Route 66 for a trip via motorcycle either in the fall of 2018 or the spring of 2019. You have given us specific locations to visit and maybe stop and play for awhile along the way. Thanks again for putting in the time to share our Americana History! Kudos!

Did the drive in 2007. Tucamcari. NM was nice. Had some famous motels and gas stations. Alot of the small towns are sad. Grants. NM had a main Street with a barber shop. loved Santa Fe. Across the river from St. Louis is East St. Louis. Illinois. Avoid that place like the plauge. Normal. illinois is a nice college town.

Sorry, I stopped watching at 2: 30 way too much Illinois promotion. The idea of making Route 66 span from Oklahoma to Illinois seems dumb. It should have been two roads. Anyone want to take a two week trip from Oklahoma to Illinois? Anyone?

You don't want to go to D'Arcy's Pint for a good horseshoe, I stopped going there when they gave me bread with mold on it. Rit'z Lil Fryer has by far the best horseshoe in town. Their cheese sauce recipe is the best I've ever had.

If you like to do side trips, Chloride, AZ is a cool (still operational) mining town about 25 miles north of Kingman, AZ just off route 93. It's known for the painted rock murals just outside of town.

We are driving from KC to Santa Fe next week. Very helpful video. I've heard that Pops Soda in Arcadia, OK is a must see and there's a halfway point in Adrian, TX? I can't wait!

I love your choice of cities. Tucumcari NM, little town. Murals and old time neon like they don't do anymore, dinosaur museum that's good, and NM food.

I'm really a lazy fellow and don't usually login to comment on a video, but here I do: -) Nice presentation. Loving kudos from India.
