As a road warrior, these are the must do's. If connecting, NEVER book a flight with less than an hour. Sit up front, so you can get out quick. ALWAYS make sure that you connect in the same airport! Since we book flights ourselves these days, it is easy to over see this (I booked a flight coming back home that connected via London, little did I know that I arrived Gatwick, departed Heathrow) Exit rows are nice, but the arms don't go up, and you have to store everything overhead. NEVER drink, use, etc the water in the bathroom on the plane! Keep your passport on you at all times. Use apps like Tripit, etc. to manage all your reservations, it's really handy to have all the info at your finger tips. However, keep hard copies of everything in a folder. The carry on rule, if you can't afford to lose it, carry it. Scan your passport and all docs, email to family or friend, it will keep on file and you can always have that person email it back to you, in case you need it. This is a golden rule, makes things a lot easier if you lose them. Take and keep extra CC and ATM for emergency purposes only. I had an ATM machine swallow my card, leaving me cashless for a week in Germany!

Greetings, Mark & Yiassou To Jocelyn! I enjoy watching your videos. I need a suggestion if possible. As I am of 100% Greek heritage but never been there ---- I would like to know the best airline to take from NY to ATHENS nonstop. I know that Olympic has stopped operating internationally and I am not so keen on United Emirates - so is there anything superior from your own traveling experiences? Please let me know. Thanks! PS: I am a bit disappointed that Olympic ceased operating as I prefer to get into a bit of the culture of the country I am visiting before I land -- to get me into the proper mood and spirit. I don't think EMIRATES would be able to accomplish this feat. I look forward to your input. Many Thanks & Happy Trails To You!

Long haul flights can be tough. Highly recommend getting a cab or arranged transfer and staying in a nice hotel after a long haul flight (even if you only do this for one night. It's great to budget and cost save. However, you are often exhausted- after a long haul flight is not a great time to save money. You're also often getting used to the new culture, temperature, currency etc on arrival. Make things as easy as possible when you arrive, exhausted, at the airport after hours and hours of travel. Get an easy mode of transportation to a decent hotel which has the comfort/amenities you need. After a night or two to refresh yourself- you can then go more budget with your accommodation and save some money! Happy travels all!

Just had the Longest 2 hour and 32 min. flight Miami to STL. People beside me talked the entire trip across the aisle and someone on their device without headphones. Ridiculous! All four Flight attendants passed by several times and never said turn the volume all the way down or use headphones. AGH! That was a nightmare! I can't imagine taking these longer flights with such rude passengers!

1. Dress comfortably.
2. Don't wear underwear.
3. Take an edible before the long flight.
4. ALWAYS pay the extra fee for the extra leg room.
5. Bring Hearoes ear plugs.
6. Bring noise cancelling headphones with backup batteries.
7. Bring your own food.
8. Bring nasal moisturizer spray.
9. Bring Advil.

I always have trouble sleeping upright so one thing I have recently started doing is popping down the tray and taking a hoodie and making a pillow out of it so I can sleep resting my head on that rather than against the back of the seat. Sleeping in class has made that one a piece of cake to do.

Hearing Mark say he gets up every few hours to stretch is honestly a sigh of relief.
Every flight Ive been on Ive been afraid to get up more than two times because I thought it annoyed other passengers and the attendants

Do NOT check your CPAP machine. A CPAP machine is a third item you can carry on. It does NOT count as regular carry on OR as a personal item. (I stuff mine with a spare items in case my luggage is lost of delayed)

Mark, you keep pushing up your glasses in your videos. If you buy metal framed glasses you can adjust the eye pads so your glasses will remain in place and not fall down.
