3: 50 it's a Germanic tradition, not a German one; .
About three kings day: Here in the Netherlands we had it as well in the Catholic parts. Childeren went from door to door singing songs with a lantern. Sadly this tradition is dying out, because of secularism, forgetting that it's a thing and the rise of Halloween instead of it. The protestant part of NL has st Martin (11th of november) as a similar tradition, but with other songs. That one has the same problems now, but less problematic.

In Spain and Iberian America (I say it that way because I'm not sure if it applies to Brazil and the other various nations in the Caribbean and South America) there's the 3 Wise Men and Boxing Day here in Canada, UK, New Zealand, Australia and the former British colonies. It's our version of the US Black Friday.
Various theories come from where it came from but often leftovers a master would give their servant after Christmas. Like a bonus of sorts.
Merry Christmas!

Here in Austria, we have also quite a nice tradition: the peace light (das Friedenslicht. Every year in December one child or one person, who did something extraordinary over the year (like caring his/her sick mother) gets to fly with the National Broadcasting Company (ORF) to Jerusalem. And there he takes the peace light back to Austria and form there on to nearly every Austrian village and even to other European countries.

And on St. Nicholas day DEC 6 in the Czech Republic, St. Nicholas knocks on the door and is closely followed by an angel AND also followed by the chert (devil) for the bad kids. The whole thing used to scare the heck out of me when I was a kid. of course I was a good kid & received small gifts. Merry Christmas (a Holy Day, not happy holiday) to all the Believers!

My mother was from Northern Germany and my father from Silesia. On the 4th Sunday before Christmas we would have one candle at the dinner table. The 3rd Sunday before, we would have two, then three, and finally on the Sunday before Christmas we would have 4 candles. Also, we opened our gifts on Christmas eve, not Christmas morning.

That whole pickle in the tree thing is just a myth! And Germans unpack their presents on the 24th (even the British royal family unpacks theirs on the 24th, because of the german influence) not 25th so the whole who finds the pickle in the morning thing is just made-up, too?
greetings from germany

I am from Slovakia and I have never heard about that pudding tradition. But we have st. Nicolaus and presents for kids in shoes here. And sometime we also fast during christmas day up until christmas dinner. We believe we can see golden piglet if we manage not eating until christmas dinner: )

In the south of Ireland young people do the 12 pubs of Christmas which is a massive session wearing Xmas jumpers. Often not allowed into nice bars it gets very rowdy but it's fun way to barhop in December to get into the festive spirit if you love drinking pints (rule is it's a pint per pub)
