It was full of beautiful buildings and places - but also the rudest, unfriendliest locals I've ever seen on my travels around the world, from what I witnessed.
I had very few interactions with anyone there, but although I was by myself, of course I could see how people behaved, and I was struck by how rude to the point of open hostility, sometimes, people in Prague were, as I witnessed some openly rude interactions with tourists and customers several times during my few days there. Everything from snatching money from hands to cursing and muttering, which I could see was noticed by the other tourists.
I understand that mass tourism can bring negatives along with positives, and that maybe it's not easy to have the influx of tourists - plenty of whom, such as drunk stag and hen parties, aren't exactly on their best behaviour, drunkenly annoying locals in the wee hours - but even so, the local rudeness and undisguised hostility towards tourists was unmistakable.
Talking afterwards about my holiday and that observation with a number of other people, they all confirmed that Yup, that's what their experiences were also like, that they'd also found Prague people to be rude and unfriendly. I wish I'd known, not that it changed my holiday, but at least I wouldn't have been as surprised by it, and it's a real shame, as of course Prague has many beautiful buildings and areas. Based on that, I don't think I'll go back, because of the unfriendly mood.

Avoid the old town after dark it's full of idiots and besters. Also, prague was badly damaged during WW2 one was the American air force mistaking it for dresden even though it's 100 miles apart. The other damage was the prague uprising in 1945 and this damaged a lot of the old town square. Good vid marc you pointed out the best tips and dangers.

Brief story: I stayed for 3 months and 5 days many years ago, via Charles University. Friends, I want to know, is the theatre Ponerpo still in operation. (near National Theatre? If it still is I would really recommend seeing a movie there! Leave me a comment

I am Czech and live in Prague and this is very accurate! Never take taxis and if you want to take pictures move to side and do not randomly stop all of a sudden to take it, making people behind you have to walk around you or almost bump into you!

3: 27 you lost me at American hospitality. The service here sucks ass unless you pay a large amount of money. The exceptions seem to be restaurants that are not owned and operated by white Americans. I definitely prefer those establishments.

Prague is a beautiful city. But people are hugely rude and not friendly, very cold closed people. They are not helpful at all and cheat you with the price. Czech people constantly look angry and very poor service.

I got one more: Don't forget to visit other parts of Prague, than the most touristic ones. Prague 1, is where most tourists go, while Prague 2, 3, 8 and other parts, are amazing - and more authentic at this point.

Dont of VISITING Prague. dont forget to VISIT. Is this some Machiavellian logic problem? Like, what is the sound of a one hand clap? Or, how can you forget to visit Prague, when you are already visiting it?

Prague is awe inspiring, the only issue I had was with those Euronet ATM's and currency exchange in general being a rip off. There are bound to be better deals if you look carefully.
